A good selection of When I opened this box, I was surprised that the pieces of these 40 pin connectors were not already clamped together

In contrast to the cheap 34 pin connectors, the two parts of the 40 pin connectors were neatly divided into two halves. That would be the most likely reason for their unclamped state. As well as being sturdy, the plastic is also hard.

Money is a valuable commodity, so do not waste it

A broken part, clips inserted on one side, that makes it impossible to remove the retaining bracket, are all junk. You don't have to spend much on them because they're so cheap. The recommendation is not to do so.

We're all idiots! A connection is already made between the connectors when they arrive. Get an Exacto Knife to remove the notch so you can pull it apart. But it is worth the extra effort if you are willing to put in the extra time. I just think the packaging concept is bad.
