Product Description

The more information you know about the product, the easier it will be to use it.
An integrated biosensor for heart rate monitoring, MAX30102 is part of the MAX30102 module. In addition to a red LED and infrared LED, the system also includes a photoelectric detector, an optical device, and a low noise electronic circuit to suppress ambient light emissions
A 1-dimensional maximum is used in MAX30102. Powered by an 8 V supply and an independent 5 V supply. For internal LEDs, a power supply of 0V is needed. This technology is used in wearable equipment to capture and detect blood oxygen levels, as well as heart rate. A cuff bracelet can be worn on the fingers, earlobes, or wrist
The quality of its performance makes it a good choice
There are some brands of mobile phones that use this chip. The MAX30102 is an integrated glass cover as opposed to the MAX30100, which has the advantage of effectively eliminating both external and internal light interference, with the best reliability.

Questions & Answers

Do you know how to figure out oxygen levels in the blood? Can we calculate with this device? I have a MAX30100, but it doesn't provide a value, so if not, what are we supposed to do?

If you want to calculate the blood oxygen levels from scratch, you can search for MAX30100 on github or write the algorithm from scratch. The examples available for building can be used as a starting point. Examples are arduino code examples to use the sensor with a microcontroller based on an arduino. These codes can be converted to be used with anything else, as they are not too cryptic to be used with something else.

I have my resistors, but it's not working right now, and I'm not sure why. Do you have to put resistors?

Do you know if it is ?

You have a sensor, but you do not have a solder.

I was wondering if you could show a picture of how to use the device? For instance, where are the electrodes that attach to the finger and neck?

Dear friend, we have documentation of the item available for your reference, could you please click on "Makerfocus" and "Ask a question", once we receive that, it will be sent to you immediately.

A great trinket to have fun with
5/5

It is fun to see that some connections and a bit of code actually allowed it to read alright, even though I have not yet compared it to a commercial unit. I think this is a fantastic.

This is a great way to work
5/5

It is really nice to have a sensor like this. It is important to be careful with software out there for using these. Most of the software available is The good news is that some people have written software to use the sensor for real-world applications, and that software is acting better than the sensor itself. It turned out that one of the sensors was DOA, but the vendor quickly sent me a replacement. The same vendor would be my first choice for these next time.

The breakout works like similar breakouts
5/5

It is able to use libraries from similar breakouts. My Uno was able to connect with no problem.

This heart rate monitor is effective
4/5

Despite the fact that the Max30102 is an okay monitor for HR, the SpO2 calculation cannot be determined. Having tried many different devices and codes, I can obtain a good HR, but I cannot obtain a high SpO2.

Providing more assistance with software would be helpful
5/5

I think all is well, but it would be good if they spent more time on easy to use/find software related to their product.

The sensor can be tested with this module
3/5

I did not have any problems. My fingers were having a hard time reading it. My skin is thick and my fingers are rough, so I may be the one.

The header ports are not up to par
3/5

It is impossible to place header ports away from the module, as heat can affect them.
