Taking a close look at the photos, you can see that there are two jumpers in the top right corner (near the GND pin socket). There is a 10Hz and an 80Hz mark on them. Each unit is sold with a null resistor (number zero) jumped to 10Hz. To jump to 80Hz, simply unsolder the 10Hz resistor and jump to the 80Hz. It's usually just a bare wire soldered that is large enough to handle easily, and then the wire is insulated with "hot snot" or something
A direct connection to ground is found on the rate pin (pin 15) of this breakout board. In order to put it in 80Hz mode, you need to lift it and jump it to Vsup.

I have used 3 out of the 5 so far and all of them have worked well! My Raspberry Pi comes with a built in ADC converter, which is handy when working with it. You are probably having problems with the product, not the one. Please read the data sheet to set them up correctly as they are a little complicated. are a couple of tips on connecting strain gauges to it. #1 If you attempt to connect a strain gauge directly to it, it will not work. It needs to be set up as a wheatstone bridge. Because the chip goes to sleep after 60 microseconds, you should use a signal if you plan to use a small board like a raspberry pi. Interrupts can be disabled by sending an interrupt command. ESP32 or Arduino will be a better / easier choice.
#3 it calculates the change in resistance for the wires connecting the wheatstone bridge too, so if you move anything around, the readings will change as well.
There was an advertisement for this product claiming that it could handle 80 SPS but you will have to pry up pin 15 from the board and solder a 10K pull-up resistor Pin 15 is connected to VCC with a resistor. This chip is so tiny that it requires very high surgical precision and is a half-inch in diameter The solution you need is obvious to you. The 10 SPS version works well.
