Intercom is not the only use for it We bought it solely for the 12 VAC output, which is compatible with an IKEA lamp we have that was bought in Europe and uses a different type of I love it - It's very easy to use Also does not seem to warm up

For my airphone intercom, I used this to power it. I think it's a great idea. There is some static in the line, but I am not sure this is what is causing it.
