Product Description

Shock and noise protection for sensitive electronics protect them from lightning strikes, surges, transients, and noise as well as over and under voltages and interference.

The unit is 120 volts / 15 amps and has three 5-15R outlets, (RJ-45) network connectivity, and (RJ-11) phone line connectivity, with a NEMA 5-15P input plug.

You can use this free tool to monitor, manage, and diagnose power issues on your computer. It works with any operating system. If you wish to view or download data to your PC, you will need an optional interface cable (part #XG-PCS-IC-1), available separately.

I noticed there is a second power port on this device. Is it possible to plug a power strip into it? Would you like to use this as a home office with a couple of laptops, a printer, scanner, etc.?

There are three outlets on this unit. In that case, you can connect a power strip to it and the ESP protection will be reflected on it as well.

The product does not reduce audible noise, but does reduce the pickup of noise from an amplifier or pre-amp in a home stereo system?

It would be difficult for me to decide whether this product would solve the problem without knowing what the cause of the noise is. It is excellent for filtering electrical noise coming into your system on the power line, but that does not guarantee no audible noise on a stereo system will be heard. It is possible that specialized products (like SurgeX) would be a better choice. Do you know if the noise is impacting the line through electromagnetic fields (EMI/RFI) or conducted (via the power lines)? It is often the result of ground loops that audio noise occurs. It may be better to use something like an isolation transformer if this is the case.

The serial port of the device offers a means to communicate current voltage status. Can I use the device for this purpose?

A real-time display can be set up if you have the appropriate interface cable and software The voltage levels on the computer screen are displayed in real time.

You should not use GFI outlets with it. My results were not as good with non-responses I installed GFI outlets and it worked. A trip switch is triggered when this appliance is connected to GFI outlets. due to the fact that it is powered by the current circulating through.

An surge protector is used to protect high-power devices There are many electronic devices available today. In my case, it was a Minolta MFC in a giant size. It has been working perfectly since it was installed for months. The readout is somewhat basic, but it did locate a wiring fault within the building. The smaller MFCs would not be protected from overload by a normal surge protector or UPS.
