Boost works, but you have to follow the instructions on how to connect the wires, I did that and it worked great. There is a video on YouTube that is very helpful, too.

This was just something I used when I had one machine that used 230 vca, but in the building there was only 198 vca available so I connected them to boost 198 v + 32 v for 230 vca.

It was installed for a tanning bed that had an overly high voltage coming from the outlet, and the device brought it down to the correct level. It is convenient to install, and light in weight.
