It is not necessary to connect these buzzers to an AC power source. A 5-volt DC supply is all that's required. The Arduino output is what I used to drive my project.

These do work, just so everyone is clear. There is sound produced by them however, the sound quality varies widely between different Some of the tones in a simple melody sound like they come from a kazoo. This could just be caused by their small size. The problem was not isolated to one, but we tried each one and had the same results. Although it worked for the project, we will use piezos that have a larger surface area in the future to produce crisper and smoother.

If you have more than half of them, they don't I would not buy it again because 1/2 or more of the units don't work

At the moment, I am using them to set alarms with my Arduino microcontroller. Using the Arduino to program these buzzers is very simple. The ability to use if statements to determine when to play them is something I enjoy. You may need to give me The only thing I disliked about them was that I couldn't stand.
