Earlier this week, I installed a Ring Pro in my home. As far as I'm aware, the Ring device attached to my door chime - I assume the voltage regulator - did not correct the issue with my phone. Throughout the day, I heard humming and chimes from my doorbell, so I bought and installed a better doorbell transformer. In order to install the Ring voltage regulator on the new doorbell chime, I installed The randomly occurring humming and chiming of the doorbell did go away, but it kept shutting down after a few hours, which required resetting the circuit breakers. As soon as I disconnected the Ring voltage regulator from the power outlet, I attached one of these resistors, and all humming, intermittent chiming, and shutting down stopped. It only takes one, but since I have 99 extra, I must really need only one. In addition to its temperature resistance, this resistor is also shock-proof. I followed YouTube videos' advice, and I am happy to report that it works! I'm not sure.

A 630 Ohm resistance is used in the circuit. According to my tests, which consist of measuring the resistors, they are consistently 630 Ohms, not 1K. Because they are so cheap, I am not all that frustrated and placing two in series will give you 1260 Ohms, or approximately 1000 Ohms if your circuit is not too specific. The quality of the product, however, disappointed me. However because I am not running wattage nearly as high as that, I am hesitant to trust the 1/2 watt claim on the resistors. However the resistance markings appear to be faulty, so taking this into account I would be very concerned about The wire thickness of some of the cables makes them not fit in breadboards, but mine seem to work in the breadboards I own just fine.

In the end, there is a price to pay. It costs about $ to buy one of these. There were 06 of them. The reason why they are sold in 100-packs is because there is a lot of them! It's possible, however, that there is another reason. 3 or 4 times already have I had to replace an installed one. The only thing I could hope for was a little more durability/longevity from them.
