No damaged cores on the inductor. It arrived on time. It is strange, however, how the inductor is constructed. This core is made of ferrite which has a very hard saturation but has a high permeability. In this way, it can produce around 1mH of inductance with 12 turns of wire. In one unit, I measured zero. So far, it is 9mH, which is pretty good. In contrast, the coil is saturable only at It means the inductance drops to almost zero when the core, which is extremely hard to achieve. As soon as the coil reaches 150mA, the coil ceases to function. Put a 16AWG wire in it and call it a 10A inductor, and the coil is a useless device. It is not recommended to use this coil on a voltage converter as it will cause the converter chip to have a short and Therefore, one needs to specify 1mH 150mA, not 1mH 10A, in the coil description.
