This is an air-conditioning unit. The duty cycle on a cooled device is 100% at 70 degrees F. The duty cycle would be reduced by about 3% per degree F when the temperature was higher.

I ordered a 30 dB attenuator and expected it to be inaccurate because it was such a low-cost item (I paid $95). 00 on AMAZON in September of 2019. I connected it to my Siglent and swept it for the Ham bands; it appears to be a 29dB attenuator, which is sufficient for my needs. As a result, I'm pleased, as the alternative from PASTERNACK was far too expensive for my hobby use. br>I've attached a PNG of the Sweep to show you what I got. I used the tracking generator on my Band new Siglent SSA3021X-A to test this attenuator. It's flat to one, by the way. 8GHz, with a smidgeon of 1GHz ripple. From 8 GHZ to 2 GHZ, 1GHz.
Excellent value for money. I'm not a reviewer by nature. I didn't have high hopes for a low-cost, high-power attenuator. I was so pleased with myself that I felt compelled to tell you about it. I went with the 30dB unit. I've attached the results of my measurements on the attenuator, which were performed with a DG8SAQ vector network analyzer and a Siglent SSA3021X spectrum analyzer with tracking generator. As you can see, the attenuation is 30dB with a variation of less than 1dB between 1MHz and 2MHz. 1GHz. The worst-case scenario for the VSWR is 1. 1 MHz up to 1200 MHz My instruments' frequency ranges are their limits. These are, unsurprisingly, low-power tests. The device meets or exceeds the claimed electrical specifications, at least in terms of small signal performance. The heat sink temperature increased from 80F (ambient) to 118F (thermocouple) with 100W of power applied at 15MHz continuously for 2 minutes. It's unpleasant to touch, but it won't catch fire. br>br>Mechanically, it appears to be well-made and sturdy. It rolls around on the bench, which I dislike. In retrospect, I would have paid a little more for the version with a box-shaped heat sink rather than the cylindrical one found on this model. n=1 br>br>Bottom line: This is a steal at the price. Good luck with your attenuation.
I bought the 50dB attenuator, and the label clearly states "50dB. " However, I measured it and it is only around 39 decibels. From 100 kHz to 2 GHz, the attenuation is fairly flat, and the return loss is acceptable. I can still use it, but it would be better if it was 50dB.
The RF load should be rated correctly.
With 4 watts, I blew up the 10 watt attenuator. With 10 watts, I blew up the 25 watt attenuator. Two of these attenuators shorted internally, despite the fact that these transmitters are incapable of producing the rated power. Be wary of the buyer!.
