LEDs were too small, so I needed a 7 segment, 1 digit display with an emitter color of red, which is common cathode technology. There aren't many LED leads to choose from. This is much bigger and what I need, but the smallest I could find The dimensions of this matrix are A larger device would certainly be a good option for me, if it were available for my project. 8 mm x 28 mm x T mm+

There was one display in a 3-screen system that needed to be replaced It is an array of numbers. So I replaced all three displays with the new ones because the new display had MUCH more brightness than the others. They could have been bigger if they had come in a 4-pack Pack your bags!.
That's what they do. A couple of the last ones were soldered upside down, and I felt stupid for doing that. Because of this, the color does not exactly match that of the others.
The circuit looks like a 7 Segment 101, but you have to have a current limiting resistor (330 ohm is recommended). As an added precaution, I highly recommend inserting a resistor to ensure that the brightness is uniform across all pins rather than just the ground!.
The displays were bright and worked well.
An excellent product that is ideal for electronics.
It was perfect for this little project I had in mind with an Arduino. It is important to keep in mind that these are cathodes. I was impressed with the packaging, since they ensure that the pins are protected. It has a really neat look and feels. There is no doubt that these are worth checking out.
Needless to say, I spent at least thirty minutes with them To straighten them out, I used nose pliers, which succeeded, but they look awful now.
