Using LCDwiki dot com, scroll down to SKU and you will find instructions on how to set up the SD card reader A wealth of information can be found in MAR2201!.
It works as advertised and is generally of good quality. Despite its LCD quality, the contrast and brightness aren't great for outdoor use (using it as a battery monitor for my eSK8) that said, it's a decent monitor for a pocket computer. The display is quite nice for a 2" monitor.
This configuration involves extra pins over and above the standard SPI pins. Displays like this are always nice. The arduino hat performed as announced, functioning as an Arduino hat with software serial I/O On an ESP32, I could not use it with hardware SPI, but it worked with software SPI and a few additional It works with the Duemilanove both with hardware SPI and software SPI (plus extra pins if needed). Those libraries were the ones installed from the library manager of the Arduino IDE, the TFT_22_ILI9225 ones. It seems that this board needs more pins than the standard MISO, MOSI, SCLK, and CS of an SPI board. As it does not just require SPI signals, but also requires RST and RS signals, I have only given this three stars.
There was more than expected, but, on the other hand, SD did not power on. It took digging for the correct wiring to be found.
The display is nice when used with the "GitHub -" feature AKAWS/TFT_22_ILI9225 This library has Arduino libraries for 2 and 3. A TFT display of 2" in size.
Easy to use with no complicated wiring! Plugs directly into the analog ports on an Arduino Uno! Henning Karlsen's UTFT library worked perfectly once I set it up, but I had difficulty finding a library to get it to work.
The back of this display holds an SD card slot, so it's super handy! I found the build quality excellent, and there were no dead pixels on the display. I found the setup to be simple and the screen to be bright and easy to use. Anyone who needs a small screen with a low resolution for a simple project should consider this.
