Selected User Reviews For Adafruit 1.44" Color TFT LCD Display with MicroSD Card breakout [ADA2088]
It arrived in good shape and was ready to solder right away. Soldered away and connected to my Adafruit Snake Eyes bonnet. It's bright and pleasant to look at, and it performs admirably. True, OLEDs have blacker blacks and a better viewing angle, and I would recommend the p OLED versions if you want to spend a little extra money. However, this is only for my personal use, and they function perfectly.
This isn't the same one you're used to. The picture appears to show a 54" TFT screen from Adafruit! It's a good one. This is not the 1. 44" tft screen with high resolution and SPI protocol, but it is the 1. 44" tft screen with high resolution and SPI protocol. Adafruit offers a 54-inch screen. It's from a knockoff manufacturer.
I've never seen a TFT screen with such a bad viewing angle.
These exhibits are fantastic. However, OLED is superior and costs a bit more.
I used it to make a small thermal camera because it's a great little screen for projects.
