This is the same type of wireless sensor that ADT sells. We had some hardwired windows replaced, and the alarm wires for those windows had to be cut. As a result, a few new sensors were required. For Adt to come out and install wireless sensors, he demanded more than $100. We purchased these after reading one of the most helpful reviews on this site and acting on it. When we entered programming mode on our adt pad, the safeguard pro 3000, there were no prompts. We tried anyway, but our entry zone was disabled as a result. As a result, make sure your pad shows something after you dial *56. There was nothing on our computer screen. We ended up ordering the Honeywell 6160 to replace our old keypad, and the installation was a breeze. With new sensors on the new windows, I was able to get all of our zones back up and running. br>All you have to do now is watch some YouTube videos on your particular keypad model. These are something I would strongly suggest. We saved money by upgrading our keypad and adding the sensors ourselves rather than paying for adt to install one sensor.
The tape that comes with it isn't strong enough to keep it in place. The tape that comes with the package is of poor quality. Because the sensor is so heavy, the tape on the backs of both sensors eventually gave way. All you can do is give it ZERO STARS when one falls off the door in the middle of the night with the alarm set off, scaring the living daylights out of your family!.
The back/mounting plates didn't even need to be changed. It was a breeze to connect/"learn" them. Arrived in a timely and unobtrusive manner. Thank you very much!.
tape with two sides The ADT sensors are the same ones that were previously installed. They appear to be genuine Honeywell sensors. My Lynx Plus system was able to pair both sensors perfectly without any issues. They are fully operational and perform as expected. These sensors have received no negative feedback. I'm glad I bought these and installed them myself instead of paying ADT $80 per sensor. In the Lynx Plus system, it's simple to set up.
It really works. If you don't want to use the supplied screws, I recommend using a better two-sided adhesive. For the same sensor, it costs half as much as the alarm company.
This wasn't a two-pack at all. Only one was sent to me.
This sensor works with Vivint security systems and is significantly less expensive. They're simple to set up and program using the keypad, and they last longer than Vivint sensors.
It came with a battery and a mounting bracket, making it very simple to set up.
