Questions & Answers

What kind of surge protection is available on the coax lines?

Improved surge protection is provided by UPS systems.

A power source is an object that - What should I do with the cable from the wall adapter?

There are no instructions on how to turn it on. The power adapter must be connected to the 'power in' port. In the author's statement, "do not use" the 'power in' port for a video or data connection, but he did not provide more specific details. The best writers are hard to come by.

The point at which it would make sense to use a remote or power inverter would be when the power supply is the farthest away from the amp? A foot and a half is about mine. ?

I think 10 feet is a good distance to connect power to amplify when I have its range of 3 feet.

This worked for 100 days without any problems
3/5

The splitter loss caused by the splitter was eliminated, so I was able to view my television signal on several channels again. A good job was done on the construction. I turned on the TV less than three days ago and it was not receiving There was no connection to my Verizon set top box (with DVR), however the WiFi inputs worked. It was as if the weaker channels never returned, just as before I removed the amplifier. When I inserted the passive splitter back into the system, the stronger channels returned, but the weaker ones did not. Considering that it was around 3 weeks passed the "return window" at Amazon, I wrote "Detroit Packing Co. ". In order to receive a replacement product, the third party seller should contact us. In short, they told me I was welcome to contact Amazon again, which I did, and they offered me a 1 time return less a 20% restocking Unfortunately, this was unacceptable because the unit is defective, so they can't restock it, and besides, I would like to have it replaced. Instead, the company who sells them should do so (I've never heard of such a thing, and I am not a 10 year old). Again, this would be the Detroit Packing Company. As soon as I reached out to Amazon, they agree to refund the full amount. However, I still need one of the amplifiers for VoIP If I get one more of these, I will hope for the best, but my other option is to search for a brand with an explicit return policy and warranty. So let's see. Don't be reckless.

TiVo Roamio Plus, Moca Network, and ARRIS DOCSIS 3 are all types of services that Xfinity offers
5/5

There is only one cable modem. The sports channels were slightly pixelated on my Xfinity cable. The power level on my cable modem was 54+ on four upstream channels, but it was - in downstream Now all my channels can be seen well since I added this amplifier. The upstream speed dropped to 46 to 47 and the downstream speed dropped to 0 to 1. I am getting what I am supposed to be getting according to Speedtest. At the moment, I am very pleased, and if things change, I will update you. It is a great amplifier that does what it says it will.

If you can, it is cheaper to install the system yourself
5/5

My house was rewired about a year ago for the X1 service, where new RG6 cable was installed and all splitters were I installed a 5-connect amp since we only had 4 televisions and internet, and only had 5 connects at the time. In addition to adding an office and 5th television, I also added an office. I was going to have to spend at least $60 for Comcast to come out and install the larger amplifier, so I did it myself for just over $30. As soon as you are done, you should get blockers for the open ports, if there are any.

As long as you don't use MoCA to communicate with your ONT, it should work for FIOS
5/5

I lose MoCA connectivity between the cable boxes and the router after the passive splitter degrades after a year or two. In the wake of the third MoCA 2 failure within a short time, I decided to look into active splitters that can handle MoCA 2 transactions. The odds of this winning were 0 and my research suggests it was a good choice. If Fiber Optic Internet Service is selected, there are several modes of communication that could be used the internal MoCA communication between the router and the cable boxes, and potentially the MoCA communication between the router and the outer box (where the fiber connection is). It may also be possible to connect the ONT and the router via Ethernet (i. e. If your router and your ONT have an Ethernet connection, then this splitter will work exclusively for you. It is because of this splitter that any MoCA signal that goes "outside" is blocked. Ultimately, it is designed so that for cable TV users, it keeps your MoCA signal in your home and out of the neighbors' homes. The coax run ends at the ONT with FIOS, and there is no way to go.

Despite its shortcomings, it works
5/5

It is, however, imperative that you are connecting to the right I found it to be effective. It is, however, imperative that you are connecting to the right In order to distribute MoCA 2, I used this. The wiring in my house is not able to pass 0 networks. thought it would make sense to attach the "In" to the MoCA signal coming from the other end There was no success with this. There is a MoCA filter installed on the "In" port of the device. In order for it to function, the MoCA devices need to be connected to the six MoCA ports. It works just great this way, although I did end up with a slight speed drop 1) Connect to device by means of The splitter is divided into two parts Stream up to 980 Mbps using this amp. 2) Connect through this amp to any device Hence, there is a decent amount of signal loss through the MoCA ports due to the 680 Mbps connection. The splitters are not perfect, but they are far better than ganging tons of them.

In addition, the unit includes a second splitter to inject power into a coaxial cable from a remote location, or near the device
3/5

This creates a cable tangle and prevents a clean installation of the device. Hopefully, the manufacturer of this splitter would have updated its instructions paper rather than using the label on the splitter casing. Instructions with an installed splitter will rarely be kept.

Compared to the previous Tivos, all of them had a noticeable increase in signal strength
5/5

To this end, in My way of running had a 30dB loss at the furthest point. This was installed very carefully, as per the YouTube video from the vendor, and the signal appeared to be better on all of my Tivos after installation. Furthermore, I was having trouble trying to install a MoCo 2 installer. I have not been able to connect with the Internet in my (1 is what I had previously received. There is only one MoCo network, but there are two. I could not get 0 to work problem, amplifying TV signal to a 0dB Last but not least, it comes with a point of entry (POE) filter where your MoCo (Ethernet over Coax) cannot depart from your home.

The slim design makes it perfect for fitting inside my outside box
5/5

The other unit that it replaced (even if it does not have MoCA support, but would be the same size with MoCa support from the same brand) did not fit when the lights were fully closed on my outside utility box. Almost every connector on the top has a very clear marking on it, so the installation is straightforward. It looks as though the power supply that comes with the unit is of a very high quality with clear labeling. As for the unit myself, the unit is not too big and stays put much better on the power strip inside my house than the previous one did.

Works well without any problems.
