A second one was set up; IT WAS GONE IN LESS THAN A WEEK! The failure mode is the same - The plastic actuator piece inside the switch breaks in half, rendering the switch inoperable or, even worse, allowing current to flow and circuit actuation to occur without being commanded. br>br>These have a different internal design than any other I've used in the past. The plastic rocker assembly inside each of the others was unique. The design change is just waiting to break, as evidenced by the failed pieces in these. I'm going to toss the third one and look for some that are actually good. NEITHER BUY THEM NOR SELL THEM! br>br>I'm not going to bother with their two-year warranty because they'll just send me more low-quality products. replacements of high quality Thank you, but no thanks.
I worked as an electronic technician for a number of years before retiring. I've never seen so many bad switches in my life. One of the switches became intermittent after 30 actuations. It worked again after a cleaning with contact cleaner. A short time later, another switch became inoperable. I didn't have the time or the proper cleaner to spray it, so I made do with the intermittent nature of it. The first switch that had failed and that I had sprayed again became intermittent before I could complete the job.
D brought it all. Toggle switches are supposed to stay in the position in which they are moved. These could be switched from one of the two "on" positions to the middle or "off" position. However, those positions would not click, "lock," or stay in place. Return to the center and flop down. Even though I held the toggle in the on position, my lights did not turn on. br>There are three switches in total. Is it a bad batch or should the buyer be cautious? I believe they were designed, tested, and produced under the supervision of some "trusted experts. " The website for the evil jungle issued a full and prompt refund. That's all there is to it.
One of the switches on my old bass boat took a dive. One of these has been substituted for it. It really works. The only issue is a small lip on the spade portion of the switch terminal where the ring terminal is screwed in. The ring terminal warps as a result of this effect. The solution is to use pliers or a file, or simply tighten the screw and bend the ring terminal to the desired position (as I did).
Despite the fact that these switches are labeled "heavy duty," they are only suitable for occasional use. Following 400 to 700 operations, two of them failed. Mechanical failures were the cause of these issues. A plastic component on the inside of the vehicle broke.
This appears to be a good switch, but I haven't had it long enough to assess its overall quality, which you may or may not find appealing. Is it very difficult to turn on and off the switch? The amount of force required to turn this switch surprised me.
Kit for installing a DC panel meter in line. These aren't exactly silky. It's as if there's a loose part inside it floating around. I was not impressed in the least.
Without making any changes to the application, I was able to replace the old switches with identical units.
