The switch is a three-position switch, so I don't know why it says momentary. The circuits in my case must have middle turned off, up turned on, and down turned on. I used it for what I needed, it fit loose and I had to "doctor" it up because the hardware stores did not carry the one I needed, so I now have 4 extras. Yet I'll need them again when I need to repair another vehicle.
If you are looking for a specific type, you should be able to find it at a local hardware store or auto parts store. You can buy them online through Amazon or other distributors, just make sure the size is correct and that the switch is a SINGLE POLE SINGLE THROW SWITCH AKA (SPST) ON/OFF and not momentary. This switch is designed to replace the switch on Intex Sand Filter pumps.
This timer was purchased in order to replace an intex sand filter pump. The timer on mine had ceased to click on and off, so I looked everywhere for a replacement. I bought 3 of these, they're easy to replace and are an awesome price considering how many I got.
My salt/sand pump from Intex suddenly won't turn back on one day. It was also an old pump that led to this issue, so I researched it this time. I discovered the problem was the on/off switch, which was then fixed. It still works when you change to a 3 position one from the original two. In case anyone else needs it As a result of the hard water, we have to shut down the water pump twice a week to clean off the calcium buildup. In less than 2 years, the switch is worn This is an easy and inexpensive.
There's no denying that these items are inexpensive. There is very little rigidity in the action and the structure isn't very dense Because of this, at the very least I do not operate them recklessly until maybe they are worn in. This would not be the switch I would choose if I desired a quality, robust product. The device is ok for daily use, but for a minimal use device, it is just fine.
Another one I figured out a way to use. There are lights pointing into the cargo area on the sides. Neither have I ever had to be on at the same time. And prior to getting this switch I never had to do so. A switch and a switch were used. I now only have the one, with the one off on configuration. I have now either one or the other group of lights on from a single switch. This is a much cleaner switch, and one that is much better than what you get from a parts store.
