A new switch replaced an old one that was.
The switch is as good as any other brand, and it does use one common supply (hot) for both switches as well. There are no instructions on how to separate the two switches. According to manufacturer, you have to break the tabs.
It was a fair price as well.
Shipment was fast, installation was easy, and the price was good.
Compared to the last switch we had installed, this one seems to be made to a much higher standard. I bought that one at Lowes and it didn't last for.
I really like this product.
It was not apparent how to wire up a double switch as it would be with others.
