The switches I got are momentary switches, which means they don't latch in each position. The 6Pin (ON)/OFF/(ON) models with the label 'MTS-' were the ones in question. DPDT' 223 6 Terminal 3 Position

No, I don't have any.
Two terminal switches are used in these switches. I'm not sure it'd fit on a 10mm thick board, but they're not too expensive.

I've read that soldering wires to these switches can cause plastic to melt, but this isn't the case. You won't have any problems melting plastic or even getting it warm if you use the right iron at the right temperature and with the right wires. This is a problem if your iron is plugged directly into a wall outlet. Get rid of it and replace it with a proper soldering iron. I used a 305°C iron and had no problems with the plastic melting.
To control sections of track and reversing loops on a HO model train layout, I bought these switches. The wire connection durability, which if moved too much, will come loose and ruin the switch, was the only issue I had with these. So be careful not to over-stretch the connecting wires. Aside from that, they were flawless.
After breaking one open, everything appears to be normal, but using an appropriate soldering iron for even a fraction of a second longer than necessary will melt the housing or other parts to which the contacts are connected. Switches that are extremely fragile. They appear to be fine, but they are nothing more than roan-colored cows. the- mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill mill millmill mill par crap. These switches should not be trusted with valuable components. My application is for bass pickups, and it only works half-way. This is not a good idea.
I purchased the "6 Pin ON/ON" version, which is very quick. They get a three-star rating from me. They don't hold up well to soldering heat, as others have pointed out. Because of the negative reviews in the past, I thoroughly tested each one before using it. As far as I could tell, they were all well received. br>br>For my project, I needed three switches, and I used my soldering skills to make them as quickly and carefully as possible. Not in a timely manner. After soldering, I discovered that two of the three switches had faulty contacts. After the iron softened the plastic, one contact was displaced, as shown in the attached photo. For the switch body, the manufacturer will need to use a thermoplastic with a higher melting point. Since they only give you 8, I was fortunate to have extras. br>br>Next time, I'll go to DigiKey and purchase (presumably) industrial-grade switches. only $1. At the moment, they're $90 each; unfortunately, there's no Prime shipping, but I'll save the hour it took me to track down the intermittent bad contacts and replace the switches. If you buy these switches, you'll need a very hot iron to melt the solder quickly and finish each joint in less than 3 seconds. After that, wait for the switch to cool before moving on to the next terminal.
These switches work fine, but they're a little delicate because the plastic used has a low melt point, so be careful when soldering and de-soldering them. Soldering is the process of joining two pieces of metal together. They can also be damaged during shipping after being installed in products. Make sure you have everything you need. Prepare to pay more if rugged durability is the most important factor.
If you're soldering to it, keep the heat low. Solder one and set it aside to cool; the plastic will quickly melt. So far, every single one of the items in the package has performed admirably.
br> Be careful when soldering; around the 10 second mark, the plastic will begin to melt. br> Toggling the switch is difficult due to the tightness of the movement. These are fantastic as long as they are installed on a rigid mount.
