The condensor fan issue that develops over time on many models of refrigerators using the common Whirlpool control boards W10219463 or 2307028 is corrected by one of these capacitors and the relay, despite the fact that it isn't advertised as such. Look for videos on YouTube that show how to access and fix the board using these parts. br>br>In the picture, the replacement tall capacitor is in the front right corner, and the replacement relay is the second from the top. The replacement electrolytic capacitor's two leads, as well as the five leads of the replacement relay, were manually resoldered on the back of the board. br>br>It's worth noting that the capacitor and relay are far more durable than the original equipment.
We've got a ten-person team. SxS refrigerator from Kitchenaid, 12 years old. The compressor fan began to turn on and off, on and off, on and off. Then it'd run fine for a while before returning to its previous state of constant running. The center heat strip between the doors would also become extremely hot. The condensor fan was replaced, but it still didn't work. After much research, I discovered a fantastic video that explains what might be wrong with the computer board. what can be done about it One capacitor was definitely bad (you could see the swelling on the top of it), so I replaced it along with the relay, just in case. The refrigerator is now in perfect working order. To install these parts, you'll need soldering skills and the courage to remove the computer board from the refrigerator's back. The computer board itself is almost non-existent- I believe you can remove it and send it somewhere for repair (with no referral for a few weeks)- You'll have to pay hundreds of dollars for them to put these parts in. As a result, I'm extremely pleased with this kit- I was able to save a lot of money $100s.
I bought this "kit" to repair my Whirlpool GC3NHXVAY01 with control board 230708 after reading Steve Jenkins blog post, and with the help of some You Tube soldering videos, I was able to fix my fridge in an hour with no electrical experience! The fridge was technically cooling before the fix, but the condenser and condenser fan were clicking on and off and on repeatedly while cycling, and then began to chirp like a chick. I noticed that the C32 Capacitor was bulging when I got to the board - As a result, I replaced it with the kit's larger volt capacitor (65v vs 35v). I also followed Steve's recommendation and replaced the relay mentioned in his article. Success for $8 as opposed to thousands of dollars on a new refrigerator!.
My refrigerator was beeping, but it didn't seem to be cooling. After doing some research on the problem, I discovered that it is a no-longer-existing problem. Thankfully, youtube videos documented the issue and a solution, which involved replacing the capacitor marked c32 and an omron relay r60. When it comes to Newark electronics, the high shipping costs are a turnoff. On a whim, I looked on Amazon and discovered a conveniently packaged capacitor and relay designed specifically for this repair. When my fridge would no longer reset (by turning it off at the breaker for a few minutes and then turning it back on), I pulled it out, tried not to puke at all the debris and mold food bits that the kids had dropped or kicked under it, and took it apart in less than an hour, desoldering, replacing, and reassembling the fridge with the parts from this "kit. " The refrigerator has been restored to its former glory.
My Kitchenaid side-by-side French-door refrigerator was in need of repair, and this was the perfect solution. br>The center strip was extremely hot to the touch, the compressor fan was not running, and the refrigerator was making a chirping / beeping noise with a flashing display, indicating a possible faulty controller board. br>After some online research and YouTube help, I was able to replace the capacitor and relay. C32 had a noticeable bulge at the top. br>Swapped out C32 and K4, reassembled, and the fridge started up again; it's been running for 48 hours now; hopefully this is a long-term solution. Although the refrigerator is about 12 years old, it is a large capacity counter-depth refrigerator. This $8 is a fraction of the cost of a couple of thousand dollars in depth. It's a gold mine to have a 99 kit.
The compressor fan on a KitchenAid Superba KSCS25INSS00 (2004 model) was not receiving power. It has a large transformer, one large (2200 mF) capacitor in the same position as one of the 220 mF included here and found on a typical board, and two 100 mF capacitors. The electronic control board model for this model is W10219463, but my board (see picture) does not appear as W10219463 appears online. It has a large transformer, one large (2200 mF) capacitor in the same position as one of the 220 mF included here and I believe my unit's original board was made with a switching power supply in later model years, resulting in the typical W10219463 boards without a transformer. Fortunately, all of my original caps appeared to be in good working order, so I replaced the K4 relay with this one, which fixed the refrigerator.
It's great that this kit was created. My kitchenaid superba kscs25inwh00 was installed and fixed correctly. br>While the blog that detailed how to resolve this issue is no longer active, a YouTube video and images from the kit's review sufficed. The original symptom was: Even after replacing the condenser fan, it would not turn on. The inside of the fridge's doors became extremely hot. It is now properly cycling.
