The answer is yes. A simple replacement should be possible, as long as you don't have the VERY old style valve body. Check that the bottom plate of your power head is secured to the valve body by ONLY TWO screws positioned on the bottom plate. In cases where there are four screws, a conversion kit must be used to perform the installation.
It has the following number A 48043E head, which is actually a 026 (call it XXX for brevity) is a replacement for it. V8043F1036 has connection wires built into the unit, while the 48043E has connections outside the unit made by wire nuts. If your valve requires 4 screws to hold its replacement head on, then the XXX will not work since it only requires Taking into account the differences between the XXX and the XXX, you may be able to use it as a replacement head. If you do not have the replacement head, you may want to try buying one and sending it back. The price is much higher than the one of a plumber! In order to determine how exactly the replacement head should be installed on your unit, I recommend calling Honeywell's customer service. Please forgive me for not being able to provide a definitive
Yes, I am.
In all my time, I've never seen one fail within 10 years. Then it's the end switch at the end. Unfortunately, I am not aware of what the actual warranty is.

The total number of units received was three. In one case, it worked perfectly, in another, it worked with a few missing teeth, and in third instance, it failed to work at all. The moment you take the manual lever out of the box, you need to experiment with it. It is likely that these gears will strip easily, and the packaging protection is inadequate. Is it possible they might be damaged in transit? In the process of replacing them. It had been set to the 'on' position by one of the units' manual levers. Units that had previously been opened/used may have been in this category. I just updated My replacements have arrived and both of the new ones appear to be untouched/unused and locked in the open position. The two functions normally, and neither of them is skipping teeth. The winter will be a great time to check on them. I hope they last. To reflect the new score, I have updated the score.
Two of the same Honeywell zone valves were ordered to be replaced, and both of them have problems (skipping of the gear mesh and stripping of the blades) with the rotary actuator that operates the microswitch which initiates the boiler burner.
I already have zone valves that don't have this issue, and they were installed in 2000. One of the microswitches in one of the valves finally failed, so I ordered this item to replace it. I returned both items for a refund because they were defective. The last unit was not as good as the previous units, other Amazon customers had the same problems, so we'll have to look for another part or source. Honeywell on the box doesn't necessarily mean they are as good as the previous models. I don't think it deserves even.
A failure was immediately reported. Replaced it with a new one. Checked to make sure the valve moved without any Soon after turning on the valve the brass gear on the motor began slipping against the brass gear that opened the valve. During this difficult operation, the valve struggled to open and a loud snapping noise rang throughout the entire house continuously. I then looked for an internal adjustment and discovered that the motor was held in place by a single screw and folded There was no possibility to make an adjustment. Throughout the entire interior frame, there were wobbles and poor construction. As a result, I will be looking for a new Since the previous Honeywell valves were more reliable and had a superior quality, it is a great shame. Since the wires of the valve were trimmed and the gasket plates on the old valve had to be filed, I do not believe that a return would be acceptable or worth the effort.
I am filing this complaint as a consumer I found the seller to be prompt with his.
One of my old ones had failed, so I ordered another one. Replaced the pinion gear and realized that the rack would not engage the pinion gear. The valve remained closed when it clicked and ran continuously without being opened. The one I had taken out was returned and a new one was purchased. Earlier today, a replacement was delivered. Before installing it, I hooked it up as well as tested it, and the same issue appeared. Thankfully I do not plan to keep it, as it's a terrible design. I'll return it and look for an alternative.
It worked great. Fits like a glove. The plumber offered $300 for it to be replaced. Take the unit to the store The screws need to be replaced only a few times. You are now ready to proceed. When you are finished, turn off all the power and gas as a precaution. Wires on the new one are all colored the same way as they were on the old one. Just to be sure, take a picture with your phone. As I was being overly cautious in the process, it took me 30 minutes. During this time, I was able to save a little money.
DIYers will easily be able to install it. All you need are a few simple tools The flathead and the Once you mark your 4 wires, you can remove your old head, install the new one, connect your 4 wires, and your This is what I did to resolve my issue I spent less money than I would have on an expensive service call because of the bad end switch.
Installed in a few minutes. As a result of not knowing how difficult it would be to take apart the existing box and replace just the motor assembly, we bought the entire box assembly rather than just the motor-only. The gears need to be mated,.
Put this in place by undoing a couple screws, removing old unit, and replacing it. This system requires no plumbing skills, and it does not require you to replace the whole zone valve body. Having the electronic box on my zone valves in my home fail for the second time in a row. Although, after 20 years of using these five zones, I might think that is quite reliable. My next order will be to have another, in case I experience another breakdown this winter.
