When it comes to LEDs, turning them off does not always mean they are completely turned off. Some of the ones we have in our house light up a little, like a faint glow, even when the mechanical switch is turned off, breaking the circuit. They register potential (voltage) rather than reacting to actual current flow (which is impossible). br>These indicator lights may behave in a similar manner, dimming to off rather than turning off immediately. An incandescent bulb does the same thing, emitting light for a fraction of a second after the current has been cut off and the filament has cooled. We perceive it as instant off because it occurs so quickly. Because LEDs are so much more efficient, the light output drops to such a low level that it appears to be turned off. Depending on who made the leds and how they were made, they may still produce a small amount of visible light, such as the ones in our home. By the way, the glow is only visible at night when no other lights are turned on. br>So, yes, they will "fade to black," as the saying goes. I haven't noticed this effect with mine, but I've never paid attention to how they act at night, when the effect would be most obvious. Mine run on 12 volt direct current or 120 volt alternating current. The operation of 24 volt dc may be slightly different. Unless it causes you another problem, I wouldn't be concerned about this effect.
The connection is parallel, and I use my lights with 110 volt ac and they work fine.br>I hope this information is helpful.
Yes, you can, there's no need to worry about 1x or 2x, just connect the 120v ac to the other post, great product.
It's not just red, I'm afraid.

Do yourself a favor and throw away the red and orange lights when you get this pack. I'm not sure why these two lights have a different LED configuration than the others (six barely visible SMDs instead of two bright ones). The lights are so poor that you can't see them in a bright room and you shouldn't use them outside. br>Unfortunately, I ordered three packs before discovering this. Even with two of the cards being thrown out, it's still a good deal for the price of the entire pack.
I was afraid there would be a catch because of the other prices. But, hey, it did the job. An extension cord with a toggle switch and two of these for a remote actuated solenoid was split wired. It's just a glorified single-outlet power strip, but seeing lights turn on and off is incredibly satisfying.
The brightness is not an issue indoors or at night. The part that is attached to the panel contains LEDs that are the same color as the lens, but the lenses can be swapped out, causing the light output to be muddled, so keep them together. br>Because I'll be using it in a damp environment (and in direct sunlight), I'll see how well these units' IP ratings hold up.
These guys are enormous! You won't miss any that are lit because they are about an inch across and bright. The panel I'm making will have to be a little bigger than I anticipated, but it should still work out fine. I got a total of ten different colors. Because they require a 7/8th-inch hole for mounting, I'll use a hole saw instead of a speed bore, which won't be precise or clean enough for my needs.
These are simple plastic LED indicators that do the job. They'd be fine for hobby projects, but not for actual industrial work because they don't feel particularly durable. Some of the colors are also a little washed out. They are, however, acceptable for casual work for the price.
This product is fine for a low-light application, but keep in mind that you won't be able to tell it's on in direct sunlight. The wire connections are also on the side of the back, rather than straight out the back.
Screw terminals are finicky and prone to popping out of the body, but they're fine once they're connected. br>br>Make certain you order the correct ones! All three options are stated in the listing and even in the box. I ordered 24V for a 120V application by accident and didn't realize it until after I smoked one.
There is no fuzz during the installation process, and it works perfectly. They include a current limiter, so I didn't have to add one to my circuit. I'm going to buy them again. They look fantastic and are simple to install.
