It is possible to connect directly.
It's not 220, but it's a close second. It doesn't matter because the voltage is 240 VAC.

I wanted this to be able to install it in my electrical breaker box across the mains. When there is a power outage, I turn off the mains and feed the box with a 220 volt generator. When there is a power outage, this indicator will turn off, and when power is restored, it will turn back on.
This pilot light is absolutely gorgeous. We needed a pilot light to indicate when the 220V electric water heater was on because we had it wired on a switch to make it easy to turn off when we weren't there. My electrician and I couldn't find a double pole double throw switch with a pilot light that fit the bill, so this was perfect. I popped this baby in after drilling a 1/4" hole next to the switch. It's a cinch to use.
My switch is compatible with it. Txs.
The indicator light is extremely well made, though I have yet to test it under load. The metal is chromed, the wires are strong, and it fits perfectly into my multi-tool's existing 5/16" hole. tool.
It's a nice indicator light, it's bright, and it's simple to put together. It is highly recommended.
Very good quality.
The led light bulb is excellent. It was used at a weekend cabin to show when a 220 volt water heater was turned on. It was screwed into the switchplate.
