Regardless of the flat on the motor shaft, any 14mm coupler will work. It's ideal to use a coupler with a setscrew or two through, but it's not required.

After 20 hours of debugging with an oscilloscope (which you may or may not have), it was discovered that the sticker on the motor gave incorrect information, and the poles on the motor had been switched. If the motor was a regular stepper, this wouldn't be as difficult to troubleshoot, but the switched A and A- positions make it more difficult. When you gave the driver step/dir pulses, it went into an alarm state right away. It was extremely infuriating, but now that it has been resolved, they have been working extremely well and delivering on all of their promises. I would recommend it, but only with a caveat.
When it works, it's a great unit, but be aware that the encoder wiring has blue and black EB and -. Other than that, a very nice unitbr>Customer service is excellent during the weekdaysbr>Listed in reverse,, it only works when you swap them,, blue and black on the encoder hookupbr>Otherwise, a very nice unitbr>.
Excellent value for money, quick delivery, and ideal for any automation project. I would recommend these steppers to anyone looking for them.
Because of the following: I had already placed an order for one, and it appeared to be of high quality, despite the fact that I had yet to use it. Then I ordered two more, but one of them (the stepper) arrived dented, despite the excellent packaging. I'm hoping it works, but if it doesn't, I'll have to rewrite my review.
This is a stunning motor. The item arrived sooner than I had anticipated, and it was beautifully packaged! This motor is absolutely stunning; I have yet to test it, but if it performs as well as it appears, it should be perfect for my needs! br>br>I'm going to buy another one soon!.
Get your hands on the instruction book! The motor/driver combination is fantastic. When you place your order, make sure to ask for the user manual, which contains the correct wiring diagrams and will make setup a breeze. The encoder is very useful when testing out your machine and seeing just what it can do, and they got back to me in just over 24 hours. When I was trying to figure out what my maximum acceleration was, it failed.
