I'm going to use this with one of the newer Raspberry Pis, and I'm wondering if I'll need any resistors or external power supplies. ?

For most servos, an external power supply of at least 5 volts is required; however, you can go as high as 6 volts if the servos are capable of handling it.

This seller must have a reliable source of servo boards, or at the very least a large batch of them. I used one to replace a bad one, and it works perfectly.

Two of the boards were fried as a result of poor soldering

A bad solder joint on one of the boards connected VCC and GND. Before I could pinpoint the problem to this board, I fried two unos.
