I'm afraid this adapter won't fit a 1/4" collet.

This is one of the few adapters that indicates the shank size, which is important to me because I need it to fit a 1/4 inch collet rather than a drill chuck. I gambled on the 6mm dia advertised. (which is less than a quarter), and I'm happy to report that it was actually 0. 249 inchesbr>The overall finish is comparable to a grade 5 bolt, and I haven't noticed any runout issues because my application doesn't require much in that regard. br>To summarize, it's a little pricey, but it solves a Foredom Flex Shaft adapter issue.
Fits my drill and granite polishing pads, allowing me to use the drill to polish.
This item arrived in perfect condition. It definitely accomplishes my objectives. The issue is that they could and should be made out of a more durable material. When I increased the RPMs too much on the first one, it bent. With the second I ordered, I'm more confident. I wouldn't have needed to buy two if they had been made of stronger steel.
I know it doesn't say it's for this, but you can use four and a half inch wire wheels with it. I hope this helps some of you out.
It's difficult to make a mistake with this tool's construction. What are your thoughts on the matter?.
With a hand drill, I used it to polish a slab of marble.
