In a nutshell, The price of the item did not inspire high hopes in me. This is especially interesting to me since I have been a machinist for almost I used it for a hole that ran out from a 1/2" drill through 8" of length, and the hole held up really well. During my small visits to , I made small passes. In spite of flexing under the strain, it still held up and the stock now remained consistent even when we got to the finish pass. All 10 pieces of mild steel and the insert looked like they had hardly been used. A video can be found on my computer.

For this review, you will get a $3 coupon. As for speed, don't worry about it). The cutting tool would have been more useful as part of a kit with other carbide inserts. The rest of my life is good. Due to the Prime Two-only nature of my order, I did not need to use customer service The day follows. As for the future, I won't say I would buy it again since this is a replacement insert I'll simply change whenever necessary. As far as I'm concerned, I'm only concerned with obtaining inserts since I don't know much about the company that produces it, but they appear to be reasonable at the moment. Please let me know if it fits other carbide insert manufacturers. So in conclusion, I'll be satisfied with my purchase as long as this boring bar continues to function after one year.

In the end, this boring bar met the needs of the application just fine. When taking a light cut, no more than 0. 10 inches can be removed from the radius of this bore bar when used on a 10 inch Grizzly lathe (G7042Z). After being drilled at a diameter of 10 inches, it seemed to be fine. It was stiffer or slightly larger than that, but it was still vibrating, so if they could find some way to stiffen it or make it slightly larger and meet the specification,.

The tool height had to be adjusted up and down several times, and the finish of the turned steel was not as good as I would have liked. The occasional boring job just became more enjoyable, as this tool was strong enough to reach deep into a workpiece.

In working through my lathe that I acquired a while ago, I came across a couple of gems. In order to increase the inside diameter of a bearing race for my son in law, I have to increase the wall thickness. It is pretty boring for a bar, but it did a decent job. First time I have ever done a project on a lathe!.
