It has been used multiple times so far, and the function is nearly flawless on aluminum, as far as boring and facing are concerned. Having a carbide insert is a definite advantage since I can use it for harder metals besides This nut provides total area support by placing all screws against every shank of the tool holder. It is strong and longer than I will ever need, but it is thick enough that I will never need to cut it. A flat surface on the tool shank is an additional benefit to the tool holder in that it can increase gripping power.
