I bought this set of four tools because I needed a few basic metric bits, but I soon discovered that just four bits would have cost more than half as much as Since I use these for my RC plane and helicopter building projects, I work with plastic and carbon fiber most of the time. In my experience, they work well for my needs. I can't say for certain how they'd work on steel or aluminum, but I'm sure they'd be fairly adequate with some care.
