Questions & Answers

Do I have to neutralize it before I use it? What am I supposed to do now that I only have ?

Stone walls can be built with it. With the kit, we include an extra long tip. The depth of the crevice in a stacked stone is ideal for that.

Is the hopper equipped with a ?

Basically, the "hopper" is the slit built into the top of the unit that lets you put the mortar into it, so yes, it comes with it. Are you asking if there is a scoop included? The metal scoop that comes with the unit is also included.

Is it possible to add motor to cinder blocks in a remodel by drilling a hole and using this tool to screw it into the block?

Certainly, the mortar mix could be injected using the tool, but we would still need to figure out how to do it so that mortar mix flows into the space evenly and dries You will need time and lots of trial and error to find

am interested in purchasing this machine, but I am wondering if it includes drill bits or not? I only own a drill machine, right?

The auger which is included is what I believe you mean. Any drill that fits a 3/8" diameter can use this. Use a cordless drill that has 18 voltage if you are using one.

It is important to choose the right tool for the I have used this product for pointing or restoring brick structures as a contractor for more than ten years
3/5

An 1890s building I recently worked on required me to chip and point over 2000 square feet of brick. Despite its age, the gun still delivers exceptional dispensing performance There are lime mixes sold at schools. The job market for more modern jobs - Due to the use of Portland cement today, the consistency of the mud must be carefully monitored. A cramped space, in a tight corner When bending over, working on your knees, or using ladders or ladder jacks, you should try to put your feet up. When cleaning in such restricted spaces, an old grout bag is more flexible and the right tool. In spite of the tool being able to keep your hands from squeezing all day, I feel the cost is too high in comparison to the limitations it has, mainly because it's so long. So far, there have been no mechanical problems with the tool. At the time of first use, the shaft of the gun loosened. In the case of the tool, the shaft became loose after it was set down on a plank. By applying a little thread lock to the shaft and re-attaching the bearing, this easily could have been avoided It was loosened. Since then, there has been no problem. Even though I still use the tool, I only do so when I am sure that it is the right tool for the Price labels of $150 are more appropriate in my opinion.

The investment was well worth it

Put the plasticizer to work! Put the plasticizer to use! The mix will be thin and will have no strength it will take forever to dry if you don't do this. I'm not talking about masonry 101 here. The lime putty tuck point on my 127 year old two story house was just bought. The investment was well worth it. While I can't speak to how long they will last in a commercial setting, after using mine every day for about three weeks, I can attest that, aside from some scratches and wear on the tip I used, the device is still in great With a dense mixing of lime and sand, the 38 drill is more than capable of doing the job. Packs each lift by filling the joint to a great degree. It's so much easier than handling a bag by hand. You'll find the scoop to be a handy little addition around the house. Have discovered that a Milwaukee fuel 12 drill offers ample power for this type of tool. You can run it all day if you pair it with two 5 Ah batteries or a big 12 Ah battery. Even if you own a OneKey system, you can fine tune the drill speed to your preferences. Although the clamp gets a little tricky, it is easy to figure out once you get it. All you need is a $2 piece of 34"*18" flat steel that has some holes drilled in it, a different size clamp, and you're going to be good to go.

This is not worth the effort
3/5

Whenever I buy a new stone veneer wall, I hope that it will speed up the pointing process. Because you have to mix the mortar so thin in order to keep the gun from clogging at the tip, it takes way too long for the mortar Here is the tip supplied with the largest size. I would like to return my money, but it has already been spent. There is no need for this tool for the price it costs. There is about 80 dollars worth of value in this Only a few of the augers are metal, so it should cost no more than $100. It's another useless gadget that isn't going to get used ever Do you have a $100 offer for a lightly used version?.

My roommate is Mason

Mortar gun is very good. REMOVE ALL JOINTS BEFORE ONGOING WITH THE FILL PROCESS Keep the mortor cold like a yogurt. If the drill starts to slow down, dump the fill hopper back into the mixing bin, add some water and shake until free flowing. My first time was pretty smooth and I got used to it fairly quickly. During the use of the gun, run the drill at low or medium speed. The mortor bulges out of the joint seam almost to its full extent due to speed. MORTER WILL DRIP LEAVE IT ALONE AND GO ABOUT YOUR DAY. In the case of a gun, the filling pressure will cause the mortor to fill. After it was about to set, I used a table spoon to smooth it out (touch the surface, and you will feel that it is easy to press down, but does not leak fluid). There's no need to worry about getting ahead of yourself just prepare ahead of time by having a spray bottle of water and spray joints. When you are ready to start gunning in the mortise, make sure you spray the joints with water first. When the temperature is 70 degrees or more, you should allow the joint to set for 1 to 2 hours. Once you have smoothed the joints and scrubbed the drips, use a small wire brush to finish. You can use the mortor after it starts to set even after it starts to harden. Even finer detail can be achieved with a Mason's brush and your spray bottle. The look and feel will be more like a tightly fitted joint. Wishing you the best of luck.
