The annular Chuck is locked into a notch on the round shank. A standard Chuck would be able to fit it.
These are made to cut holes, as the name implies. the bit's outer diameter Because they are made to make holes in steel and the center cut is discarded, there is no pilot through hole and no mention of the inside diameter. These bits have a pointed guide that is positioned using the center punch hole and are used with a center punch. Do you understand what I mean? A magnetic drill press is demonstrated in this video. I'm not sure these achieve what you're aiming for. Trial and error is the only way to learn.
Mine are mounted on a Fein Short Slugger mag drill with a no-load speed of 680 rpm, and they seem to work fine (using WD-40). Regardless of diameter, I use 40 as lube), but I haven't used any of them long enough to know how well the cutting edge sharpness holds up.

I needed to drill a few 1" holes through some 3/4" thick mild steel plate, but only time will tell how long they will last. It took me about 6-hours to complete using the mill, some cutting fluid, and a series of standard fairly sharp drills (1/4, 7/16, 3/4, then 1") Each hole takes 7 minutes to complete. By the time the cutters arrived, I only needed two more holes, and the 1" annular cutter took only 4 minutes per hole, including drilling the 1/4" pilot hole, which saved me a lot of time. The bit didn't appear to be damaged in any way. br>I'm giving them 5 stars for now because the quality appears to be good, but I'll reserve the right to change my mind later (two holes isn't a great product test, but it's all I needed by the time the cutters arrived).
Well, I've never used this type of bit before, so I don't know what to compare them to. br>so I drilled about 50 holes in 1/4" i beam with the 11/16 cutter and they cut very nice. I used a jancy mag drill with water soluble cutter oil. br>then I had to drill a few holes in double 1/4" plate after you get through the first plate you have to remove the slug but don't turn off the magnet because after I would probably buy them again if they offered single replacement bits and pins from this brand, but I ordered a different brand to try.
I used a bridgeport at 200rpm with plenty of lube, and I could tell the cutter had dulled by the end of the fourth hole. I'm not impressed.
still as good as new.
In 1/2" thick steel, I finished 250 holes. Cutters who work well. With the 9/16" cutter, I finished 250 holes in 1/2" thick steel. These are the simplest holes I've ever attempted.
When I'm in the market for something, I'll keep an eye out for this brand. These were purchased for use with my Bridgeport mill to drill holes. It sailed right through a 3/4" steel plate like it was nothing. When I need bigger bits, I'll look for this brand.
The product is good and it works.
