It's a good selection of quality and a good set. There are basically three versions of all the common sizes you need around the house as a DIY Each of the metal, wood and masonry pieces in the box is neatly stacked by size in an accessible metal tray that flips the items up vertically when you open it. Despite this, there is a minor downside There is a straight (round) shank on all of these bits. While it is great for centering and preventing wobble that is often associated with hex shanks, you do lose the ability to change bits quickly and easily one handed, and to achieve high torque. If Makita could offer this kit in both versions, I could not use the chuck constantly since it is a pain to change bits.
The metal tin in which these drill bits come is just beautiful in my opinion and far superior to the plastic containers it came in when I bought my other drill bits. Because it feels sturdy and it is durable, those are two qualities I like in my drill bits, so why not in the case as well. A drill bit is a sturdy piece of equipment. Despite not breaking any yet, I appreciate the fact that the bits are all in the same sizes, allowing me to work with materials other than wood. There is no doubt that my favorite set of drill bits is this one, and I have tried many others.
Longevity has yet to be determined by me as I have only had the set for a short time. A few of the bits I have used to drill wood and porcelain have been small ones. It is hard to say that the bits are durable as no bits have broken, but the bits have remained sharp. My favorite part of the retro metal case is that it organizes my bits. Buying a product from a well-known brand such as Makita was the first thing that attracted me to this product. What further intrigued me were the prices on these drill bits that I use a lot. In order to make an informed purchasing decision, I always look for an item(s) that come with a case for them. The product I purchased is just what I was looking for.
There is a problem with the container. However, the box is badly designed and does not fit the drill bits well. My hinge keeps going off center every time I open it, and I have to jiggle it to get it open. There's nothing more annoying than this.
The drill bits in this set are great. Using a Makita screw gun with the attachment, I was able to use this perfectly. It was rare to be able to find this product in other stores, so finding it here was incredible. Though I haven't used all of the pieces, the ones I have used have been of good quality.

My other bits didn't compare to this one in terms of quality and sharpness. I really like it.
