Although this is an old post, anyone who sees it in the future will be able to fit it. In the case of SDS Max, it will not fit. It is common for small rotary hammers such as a 5/8 to be
I think this is a very good 's HP1640 Hammer Drill is a 3/8" chuck drill, and this Makita SDS-530S drill is a 1/2" chuck drill The Plus Bit Set is designed specifically for SDS-based systems The Rotary Hammer is additionally available. SDS, however, pose a number of challenges In addition to inserting into your 3/8" chuck hammer drill, the Plus bits are compatible with your tool. should be noted that 1/2" SDS- 25 is only available in the U.S. The capacity of the Plus bit is beyond the rated capacity of the Makita HP1640 and may exceed the power tool's ability You should always drill below the chuck's rated capacity when working with a Hammer Drill.
It is impossible for me to know for sure. Using an off-brand rotary hammer (and not a hammer drill) that I purchased via Amazon, I was able to drive the nails into the wood. Although the SDS is a standard that, in part, may be related to whether or not the chuck is an appropriate size and shape In order for an SDS bit to fit an SDS drill, the drill must have an SDS bit. To find out if your drill is a SDS drill, look in its manual or packaging. This should tell you, I believe, but you should not take my word for it.
You should be able to use them if your DeWalt accepts SDs plus bits.

It's worth the money! I have updated I still enjoy it a lot. It took just a half dozen holes for the bit that I got for my drill to show some visible wear. The Makita is not the best. Product is of high quality.
Drilling concrete and other materials has never been a pleasant experience for me, but when I have done it, a "hammer drill" has always been a grueling process. The Makita SDS-33I I got is very small The bits I purchased were for a plus drill that was on sale. We used the aforementioned tools for the first time to drill a few 1/4-inch holes in an old and extremely hard concrete slab. A standard drill would have taken much longer and would have been much slower than the drill and bit I used. As soon as I was done cleaning them up, they still looked almost brand new, showing no signs of wear from the outside. While it may not be what you would use all day long when drilling concrete, it is a good set of bits for occasional use.
The masonry bits I needed for drilling cinder block and reinforced concrete are all different sizes, since I am building out a portion of my shop. This product met all of my needs in one neat package, as it included all the sizes I needed. Both my Makita rotary hammer and rigid hammer driver drill work perfectly with these Makita bits. Even after drilling over 40 holes in reinforced concrete, these bits showed no signs of wear. It was simple to attach anchors to pallet racks using the bits, and they made quick work of drilling 1/2" x 2" holes. The bits from other manufacturers would have to go in the trash normally after this kind of use. The product fit all my needs, and it was all the right sizes.
There were several anchors I needed to install on a 60-foot wall The year is I used a conventional drill to drill through an old concrete slab and used at least six conventional masonry bits. No way of getting through Next I bought a Makita SDS+ bit and a Makita rotary hammer, and they worked together effortlessly to drill through the concrete. It would have been nice if I had understood this.
It would be useful if Makita provided a serial number to compare drills and drill bits for compatibility. I received the drill bits on time and securely packaged, but they will not work with my Makita drill. Having to send the item back was not an option.
So far I have only used them once, they were only in my possession for a day, but I can already tell the quality is very good. This method has been tested and found to be quite effective . I drilled twenty holes 4" by 3/8" in one hour. The bit cut the concrete like butter. It is an awesome product!.
Makita & Co. is a true inspiration to me My assumption is that it has something to do with how it was handled and that it was broken Even though it is the shipping end of things, it is still.
Despite the fact that the two bits I used went through concrete like butter, I had to drill into it a number of times. There is no way I could recommend these products any higher than I already do.
