The piece is also not a solid cast piece (there is an obvious join where the larger shaft meets the smaller shaft). Last but not least, the overall finish on the part is extremely poor.
This tool was bought to push 1/2 and 3/4 inch rebar through a pre-drilled hole Drilled holes in railroad ties in order to use them as a landscaping material. I was using a sledge hammer prior to buying this, and although it worked fine, my muscles appreciate the extra resistance this bit provides. In addition, I would like to clarify one point. To utilize this bit, I use a very large hammer drill and a Hitachi drill head weighing 25 pounds. With just a drill and the tools doing most of the work, I can hold it and let it do the work for me. I don't have a smaller drill head to test, so I cannot comment on it using a smaller drill head. What would I do if I had to Since this thing is solid, I should be able to use it for a long time unless I lose it. I would definitely replace the one I have.
I found the information to be very useful. I could cut through them like a hot knife through butter if I didn't hit any rocks. Even if I hit a rock, I almost always managed to get through it, but it often took me quite a while. If I was able to get through the rock at all, I assume it was very large. Then I cut off that piece with a sawzall and moved on to the next piece.
A deeper, tighter fit would help me avoid a free bull ride at the top of a ladder when the hammer breaks. I had to run an alternate setup of ground rods because I was unable to penetrate the Central Texas Limestone after hammering away for a long time. good news for the product the ground rod flared before the tool did. This ground rod was not able to keep my ground stake in place because it was wonky to fit, but in softer soil you would not notice. It survived the rock-hammering abuse, even though it ultimately failed to do so. This tool is extremely well constructed (and not because of the tool itself).
It is not the first time I've used a ground rod driver tool or method. Getting frustrated and destroying some innovative tools because we spent too much time on it. This approach has proved time and again successful in accomplishing the task in a timely manner, with little to no As an actual Hilti TE-250 user, I use this product A piece of the puzzle does not need to be added. A tool like this will pay for itself many times over if you need it to drive a ground rod. It is, of The Hilti is already owned, I have driven more than one ground rod, I have driven many different sizes of ground rod, etc.
If you have ever tried to pound a ground rod into hard or rocky soil, do not do so. Your new best friend has arrived. Since I had a Roto Hammer, I simply plugged in this system and it was done in minutes. I do not have to beat the table, sweat, or swear to be censured. Getting the hammer drill to stay upright was the most challenging task.
Drive a ground rod with the Bosch 580 hammer drill - this will do the trick.
