Drilling holes accurately and quickly with this bit in both solid concrete and concrete block with my Bosch RH328VC drill is simple and quick, and I imagine drilling brick would be no more difficult. The drill will do the work as long as you apply light pressure. So far, I've drilled only about one hundred holes with this bit, so it's still in good shape. Good luck!

If you want to use that, and if the chuck can be tightened, then I'm guessing it will work. As it turns out, this is intended for drilling with an SDS+ bit. It seems to me that you should just use the right drill bit for your drill.

I used it for over 100 holes, but I believe that I broke the end of the drill bit when I hit some rebar or an old nail in the concrete. Then My sister told me Bosch makes a similar bit but is designed for concrete with rebar up to 6 inches thick, and I bought it at ACE hardware for $9. I'm sure it'll last longer than the Bosch bit. It is claimed to be four times longer. In other words, it is recommended to get the better hole drilling bit if you have a lot of holes to make.
Despite their tight fit with 1/4" tapcons when new, these holes are difficult to use. Secondly, the diameter wears down quickly (true of all small concrete bits) so I am lucky if I get 30 holes out of the The drills still perform well, but they make the holes too narrow for the Tapcons to go in without binding before they sit down completely. Since I discovered a better alternative, I no longer need to pay the price.
This is the first of two In 3- I did not have to push terribly hard, everything went smoothly and I did not have to push However, I decided to continue to the last four even though it took longer and required more Initially, I thought it had lost length, but once it broke in half and round the top, I was surprised. There seems to have been something wrong with the brick. I'm not sure if it was damaged by overheating or if there was metal inside. However, I was expecting a longer life. The top looks like a cap, without cutting edges. My first impression of this is that it's extremely soft! In

During a special Amazon sale, I was able to buy a couple of these really cheap. It is not one of the greatest rotary hammer bits ever, but it is at a great value, and it will more than pay for itself over time in comparison with spending a lot more on a slightly.
They were quick and took me 32 seconds to drill a 1 3/4" My intention was to time myself so I could see how long it would take me to drill several.
It was a Bosch 3/16 SDS drill bit that did exactly what it was supposed to do. Even if the concrete is old, it drills easily. The only complaint I have is that it is about an inch too short. A 2x4 cannot be drilled through all the way for the concrete screws to go into it deeply enough when it is drilled a little too shallow. When drilling through existing walls that can't be moved, this is a problem.
Good at what it does. To set Tapcon Screws, I use these to predrill the holes. Considering that the bit is relatively small, you may want to be careful not to break it with a rotary hammer that is very powerful. The order for two of these was placed and received two packs of five of these instead. The purpose of that might have been to prevent that from happening. It seems a bit odd to get 10 bits for less than 10 dollars.
The way we intended it to be. This drill is quick and no issues have been encountered so far. Will try not to hit rebar with this one.
