How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

The cutters that utilize cobalt steel have similar capabilities to high-speed steel, but they are more effective at cutting harder metals such as stainless steel or nickel alloys because of the higher content of cobalt.
Coating the surfaces of titanium nitride tools with a hard layer of gold-colored ceramic increases the tool's life and allows the tool to cut at a greater speed than if the tool was not coated
A wide range of toolholding systems can be used with round shanks
As the spiral flutes of the tool are rotated counterclockwise (right-hand cut), the chips are evacuated up and out of the cut and reduce clogging.
It is an angle of 82 degrees

Questions & Answers

My machine screw is size #1, flat head, so I need to make a countersink for it. The tool I am using is the right one?

This product will be used to counter plexiglass under my sink. If you use a flat head screw that is between #4 and #6, it works best. Even though it could be used for a #1 screw, it would need to be a large counter sink for that small screw.

Countersink that is easy to use
5/5

Taking small holes out of aluminum with this countersink tool. If you spin it too fast, it's easy to melt aluminum onto the bit. If you don't watch your speed, though, it will work well for that purpose. That bit of coating on mine still did not stop it from happening. It was a good thing that I noticed it happening and stopped before it got worse. After removing most of the buildup, I felt things were moving much more slowly, and it worked great!.

By smoothing out the bore, you can make a nice hole
5/5

it to enable me to countersink flat head screws into some Rockler T Tracks. This tool works extremely well. It makes a nice smooth bore and the screw heads are angled just right. Thus far, I have only drilled 6 countersink holes with this product, so I cannot speak to its durability, but I believe it is a quality product.
