It does exactly what it says on the tin. I was able to attach it to a metal safe with the help of heavy magnets. I've added well over 20 keys so far, and I'll probably buy another one for duplicate keys that I can keep in my car or garage. Tags were simple to use, but I wish there had been more spare paper inserts. A metal bar that can slide down to the top of the keys to hold them in place if you need to move it somewhere else would be a good product enhancement. Because of COVID priorities, it took a while to reach me, but I would order it again.
This was purchased for a company to use as a key safe for clients' homes. Before you use this AdirOffice Key Cabinet with Key Lock, make sure you read the instructions carefully. Key Hooks (60). All the keys, tags, and cryptic identifiers were in a bucket! It felt great to make a list of names, assign a key number to each one, and then store them all in one convenient and secure location! I didn't care for the plastic key IDs that came with it, so I went out and purchased CM Numbered Tags Metal Key Ring for Organizing and Sorting (50 PCS: 001- Instead, use 050 (Blue Color). Simply put, it was more suitable for my requirements.
It gets the job done. It is not, however, as durable as I had hoped. It's easy to bend the thin metal out of shape. Also, there should be more space between the first row of hooks and the box's bottom. Many of my keys were too long to fit into that space. They include two screw sets as well as wall anchors, which is a nice touch.
I bought this key box for my husband, who is our apartment building's live-in Super. There are 36 units in our building, as well as six storefronts. We needed a better key storage solution for apt keys because the Super is supposed to have a key for each unit. This box is large and comes with color-coordinated key tags. br>br>We hung the key box on the wall in our kitchen. Because our wall is plaster, we used different screws and didn't need the drywall anchors. If you are a Property Manager, Realtor, Building Super, or have multiple properties, I highly recommend this key box.
I recently "inherited" our office's key project and needed a way to keep track of the keys. This box is lightweight but sturdy, has plenty of room, and sits unobtrusively on my credenza behind my desk for the time being.
This has been extremely beneficial in terms of assigning different keys to different apartments. The only issue was that the anchors were not suitable for sheet rock and were therefore useless. It was no problem once we started using our own. I wouldn't use the ones that came in the package.
It is impossible to carry it closed. The keys start to fall out.
You can write on the removable inserts on each tag.
