It has about the same viscosity as the old stuff, smells different, which suggests a different formula, and works about the same as the old formula when it comes to loosening rusted bolts. I'm still on the lookout for the 'ideal' de-cluttering solution. ruster, and this isn't it, in my opinion.
It won't remove rust by itself, but it will if used with steel or brass wool.
I'm not sure what makes it better, but spraying a stuck bolt/nut and waiting 5 minutes makes it better. Remove it after 10 minutes. br>It's worked out really well for me.
This product caused rust to appear, but I don't believe it was caused by WD-40. I used 40 long-term corrosion inhibitor instead of 3M or NAPA products, which are more permanent inhibitors (more like paint) and last one year outside.

This product came in handy when I needed to remove some corroded bolts from my Ford Escape. I sprayed it on, waited a few minutes, and was able to remove a lot of the corrosion. br>br>Just keep in mind how Alexa will alert you to the delivery. My girlfriend was hanging out with one of her girlfriends at home. To my girlfriend's surprise, Alexa called back and said, "Your penetrating lubricant has been delivered. " (She had no idea what had been ordered. ).
This didn't appear to be particularly rusted, but it had been sitting in a basement for eight years, during which time it had been flooded and then sat outside for a few days, so perhaps it was simply TOO rusted for this stuff. Whatever the case may be. After a week of spraying, soaking, and attempting to remove the pedals, I gave up and called a local junkyard for advice. They recommended that I try Seafoam Extreme Marine. Rv Deep Creep was used, and the bolt came loose after one application.
It delivers on its promises. I had some rusted engine header bolts that I didn't want to break because I didn't want to ruin the engine block. Omg! Wait 30 minutes to a minute after spraying it. They were as smooth as butter when they came out of the oven. They were so simple to remove that I was able to unbolt them with just my pinky finger and a wrench. It'll get rid of any rusted bolts. Do this if the bolts are extremely tight (more than 60 ft pounds). Spray, wait a minute, loosen the bolts a little so the head separates from the surface just a little, spray again, wait a minute, then completely loosen the bolt. It will be much easier to loosen it, and it will be less likely to break.
As you can see in the attached photo, I tried several times to remove the rust from the screen pole. I waited a few minutes after spraying until it was very wet, then tried wiping it off with a paper towel, but nothing happened! There is no rust on the paper towel!! The pole hasn't changed in any way! I tried a few times, but only about a third of the bottle remained. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, even with the straw, it sprays everywhere.
Melts rust from nuts and bolts very effectively. It makes it easier to get rid of them. I'll use a torch to apply heat, then spray it on while it's still hot. It also does not have the same unpleasant odor as some of the other items.
Without a doubt, 40. I've been tinkering around with the WD- I've been using this product since I was a kid, and I absolutely adore its penetrating power. I was on the fence about buying this product at first because it was a little pricey for such a small size, but I was fortunate enough to find it on sale. This is where I kept the WD- I sprayed a good amount on it and it definitely did the job 40 minutes into a test when I was trying to remove those stubborn rotor screws in my father's car. This new WD-formulated product has made me very happy. 40 150%.
I was attempting to replace the faucet on the bathroom sink. One of the connections had rusted through and refused to move. The fitting shows signs of rust. WD-40 was sprayed on the WD-40. 40 & After 15 minutes, the fitting had loosened sufficiently for me to remove it. I don't know what else I could want. I completed the task at hand.
I was able to unscrew the hose from the sprinkler miraculously!.
