Questions & Answers

Has it ever been used to reinstall a rearview mirror on a windshield?

Hello, my name is Christopher Stafford, and I'm the owner of Reflections in Aiken, South Carolina. Thank you for your interest and message; the item in question will work best on a clean, smooth surface. The thickness of the epoxy when mounting the tab of the rear view mirror on the glass is the only issue that may arise. It's possible that it'll show up on the edges. If you have a straight edge blade, such as a box cutter, you can clean up the excess on the glass right away. Thank you very much for your message.

Will this fix a small crack in the back bumper of a car?

I've used it to weld plastic several times and have had good results. Before the stuff sets up, you only have 5 minutes to apply it. As a result, plan ahead.

Is there a time limit on the use of the product?

This particular blue will last an extremely long time obviously if you don't mix it together once you break the seal the expiration date diminishes quickly basically I don't think anything lasts longer than six months once it's opened but if you're really careful you can make it last longer what is your expectation once you break the seal of the glue my guess is you'll use it once and then throw it away what is your expectation once you break the seal of the glue my guess is you'll use it once and then

Is this electrically conductive, so I can use it to connect components on a circuit board?

I don't think this is conductive, so I'd recommend soldering the individual components first, then using the expoxy to secure the wire in place if necessary. As a replacement for solder, I don't believe it will work.

I just went out and bought three more
5/5

Following the purchase of a one-of-a-kind item, you will need to I only have a three-pack in my bag. pack. This is fantastic. This stuff is fantastic for everything from mounting electronics to repairing broken ceramic figurines. It does have a strong odor until it is set, as others have mentioned. I make myself at home in the bathroom, shut the door, and turn on the exhaust fan. Glue what needs to be done, then close the door and leave it for an hour or two with the fan on. The odor will be gone by then, and the glue will be fully set.

My toilet tank had a hairline crack that needed to be repaired
5/5

Because there was a small puddle on the floor near the toilet, I removed the tank and replaced the old gasket as well as the dried-out rubber washers on the two bolts. I reassembled it, filled the tank, and flushed it, but it continued to leak. br>br>When I disassembled it, I noticed some very fine dark lines emanating from one of the bolt holes. The toilet is probably over twenty years old and may have been cracked due to vibration. br>br>I purchased this product and used it to wipe down the inside of the tank before waiting for it to dry. It has a plunger and two tubes that separate the two components, as well as a nice resealable cap. I put on a pair of disposable gloves and glued a bead to the tank's bottom. I mixed the glue with my fingers and spread it evenly across the tank's bottom. Almost all of the glue was consumed by me. br>br>I let it dry for the night to make sure it was completely dry. After that, I reattached the tank, filled it, and flushed it. No leak. br>br>Excellent product that prevented me from having to purchase a new toilet.

Great product, especially the screw-down closure cap
5/5

Excellent epoxy for plastic (in my case), easy to mix, crystal clear, and superior adhesive. br>br>The problem with most dual tube epoxy products is that the end cap does not fit tightly, allowing the epoxy to go bad quickly. This problem is avoided by JB Weld's use of a screw-down cap. The solution is simple, and the product is fantastic - From now on, this is the only tube epoxy I'll buy.

JB Weld is some of the best welding equipment on the market
5/5

This is the first time I've purchased clear JB Weld. I used to get the grey six-minute stuff. This indicates that it is more powerful. I think the grey will work well here as well. You can use it in a variety of ways if you keep some on hand. I really like the resealable cap on this product. Allows you to use it more than once. Before reinstalling the cap, make sure it's clean.

Filling wood knots was a part of my job
5/5

So far, I've used three of them. When you don't want to mix a lot of epoxy, I like this method. It worked perfectly for filling a knot in my live edge desk. The epoxy is mixed, the knot is filled, any elevations are planed and sanded, and then the clear coat is applied. I did have some opaqueness in a seam, but it's difficult to tell whether it's due to the epoxy or a trapped bubble. This product will be used to fill wood knots in the future.

FAST and CLEAR! okay
5/5

Time: l5 minutes is not an exaggerationnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn 30 seconds of quick whipping then. GET DOWN TO BUSINESS! It's obvious. It's also very quick to set up. Of course, this is only possible in the right weather. br>I haven't tried it on anything heavy or prone to a lot of torque, but for gluing things together I like IT.
