Questions & Answers
Although epoxy resins are similar to Polyester resins, it usually takes longer for them to set and cure because of the mixture ratio with which they are set off. It seems that Qcell is a lightweight white fine aggregate you can add to polyester resin to make it thicken and patch larger holes without adding quite so much weight to it. It is very likely that it will mix in very much the same way, but I'm not certain. Test first. You can use the recipe you have been given. If in doubt, use the recommended mixture ratio.
There is no UV cure resin in this. The hardener that is included should be used according to the directions.
It must have been a mistake on your part. While the solutions will not be totally clear when they are mixed together, they will remain cloudy for about a minute or so until you mix it all together. If you kept mixing it too long, it might begin to set, or dry out
Yes, I agree. Hawaii is one of the places we ship to.

I would recommend watching a YouTube video about ding repair on an epoxy surfboard before getting started with It is similar to conventional resins except that it is slightly less viscous, requires a heavier catalyst ratio, and cures for a longer time period. If there are any deep cracks, remove all bubbles. It is likely they will migrate out and leave craters that need to be filled. If you need to fill deeper dents, cut small pieces of glass cloth and mix them with resin. With the mylar, you can squeeze out excess resin and ensure a smooth Before you sand the board, you need to fix all dings and let the board sit for at least TWO days. White is the color I have chosen for my board and Krylon Gloss White (available anywhere) is the best match. If necessary, you can sand with 400 or finer, then use a buffer to work on it.
As I said in the beginning, I have used this to repair my surfboards in the past, however, this time I ordered it to repair my carbon SUP paddle after it broke My only task was to sand both surfaces of the tube and apply a thin layer of Ding-Ease Let it sit over night, all putting them on each surface. I have used the paddle for several hours and I am happy with how it is holding up so far.

While I felt a little intimidated by the mixing process as a total newbie, this stuff is very easy to understand and You can use this ding repair if you can read the directions and it works just fine. I bought this over the tube because you get a lot more for a few extra bucks. My fin lost all of its FCS plugs when I used it (and I had to repair the fin). My guess is that the low reviews on this stuff have something to do with the quality. It doesn't make any sense not to be glad you have this stuff if you had an honest accident with your board or if you were dumb enough to damage your board. Unless, of course, you prefer to fix it with gorilla glue and other homemade fixes. I imagine that a skilled repairman could achieve better results with a product like Ding All. This stuff works just fine in my amateur hands, and I expect the results would be better than the results I have with my professional hands.
The first time I mixed this product at 2 to 1, I found it stuck to my skin and had to be removed. I mixed it at 2 to 1, and it came off the second time. Five ratio wasted my precious time with this subpar product had to take off the patch and said Ai Kai ufa, don't waste your money and time. The money is one thing, but the time wasted on trying this inferior product makes me want to say farewell to you.
Considering the price, there is not enough product for the price. I also found that the amount of cloth was excessive compared to the amount of resin. You don't need so much cloth (I know, cloth is cheap and resin is expensive) and put a small amount of cavasil in the cloth pouch. Therefore, the kit would be more versatile than it currently is and make up for the lack of resin to some extent.
It works perfectly, just as I was looking for it. me a little more strength when I am repairing my polyester resin boards, too. It is a standard procedure and is what I have done in the past.
Now that the board is fixed, it can be used. It took just a few minutes to apply, mix, and dry the repair. My excursion to St. Augustine is just around the corner. I hope there will be.
