In short, yes. A great hardener I use is 206 hardener. This pot has a life of 45 minutes, cures in about 14 hours, and is ready to use after 24 hours. Try curing epoxy with 205 if you want it to cure faster.

In order to stiffen the birdfeeder I made from 1" copper pipe, I went looking for ways to do it. Concreting the pipe would have been cheaper, but it would be hard and messy to get concrete down a 1" pipe. As well as the tensile and flex strength of epoxy, it is much higher than concrete. To make the strongest set epoxy, I simply topped the pipe off with a funnel and filled it with West System 105 and 205 hardener. There is a lot more stiffness to the feeder now, probably 1" galvanized pipe or something of that nature. Currently the epoxy is filled just up to the lower feeder arms, but I plan on filling the rest soon after drilling weep holes on the highest parts of the arms, which I will temporarily seal with tape once the epoxy leaks Now I have to do some math in order to figure out how much mix to put in each cup.
For the first time I have used this system, and I have been very satisfied with the ease of use (especially the measured pumps). A sentence describing the conditions (and results). My epoxy was black with chalk line powder (chalk line powder) and clear (I used hardener #207). As a matter of fact, I even filled some larger holes with black, then topped it with clear for a more When I used the colloid thickener for those holes that went through the boards, the thin epoxy ran through easily. Before laying down the floor, I sealed the most of these holes with caulk or liquid nails. However, there were a few that I missed.
Mixed with the West System 205 Hardner, this resin works exceptionally well. Other hardeners are made with different cure times, used for a variety of My experience with it was expansive in the Marine Industry, where it was extensively used for indoor and outdoor projects. There are many pricey pieces of equipment, but they work. Lamination of wood projects such as building a transom plate for an outboard motor can also be done using this product. Getting the easy/fill spouts which go on the various containers of West System products would be a good idea. The mixing is made. This is a foolproof and easy method.
epoxy is used for filling cracks in wood so that it will last through time. In my case, I use Trans Tint dyes to tint epoxy. The 105 and the 205 hardener I use are both effective. I can't think of anything wrong with this. He is like a rock when it comes to hardness.
As far as professional epoxy goes, this is the best It is impossible to compare this to anything else on the market. Usually, this can also be obtained from auto body and paint suppliers, however, the price is much higher. You can visit the West System website for a complete line of West System products and information about the company the website is very informative. I use the 105 for general home renovations. West System epoxy has never disappointed me in all the years I have used it. It would be useful for you to visit their excellent website to learn how all of the products work together if you are unclear about this product. As well as tutorials on how to make repairs, they provide how-tos on how to complete One of the three options available in this size is the smallest. The resin size corresponds to the resin size. In addition to the metered pumps, which must be purchased separately, the proportionate measurement of resin and hardener is possible with them. All of the pumps work with all of the sizes.
For more details on the product's performance, I'll let other reviews speak for themselves. There is a lot to look forward to. Just to make sure that first-time buyers know something that may not be obvious It is important to buy resin/hardner according to the letter of the group. In this case, the hardner to buy is "105A", so what you buy should be "205A", "207A", etc. A product's volume is correctly matched to that of products in the same group. A pump kit can be purchased in the same way. Make sure you check the product groups, since they are made specifically for those products.
I need to rewind my 8 foot slab of redwood since the product never set. My disappointment continued when I contacted the manufacturer and was told to scrape it off and increase the heat. An hour of prep later, we still didn't get the desired results, after almost a WEEK AND A HALF it continues to not.
