Spending an entire weekend preparing and launching my boat was a waste of time. I was very pleased with how it turned out. When the product became wet, it became extremely slippery. The following weekend I went sailing in the boat. There is a great deal of danger in it, and I never would make use of it It's not clear to me why their product holds dirt like it does but I strongly recommend you look elsewhere! I have never experienced this problem with the original coating, and I am not sure why their product does it like it does. In fact, I even contacted their customer service and they said that I had a dirty boat and that their product was not defective. It would be nice for them to send one of their guys out to wash my boat so they can see how hard it is for me to maintain the cleanliness
Rarely was there a problem with their product or was my boat dirty? I contacted their customer service and they told me there was nothing wrong with their product.
I regret using this product on my boat every day. Prepared the fiberglass surface for painting by doing all the necessary prep work. The product does not dry properly no matter how thin a coat you put on it, and even though it has been many months since I used it on our interior boat cabin floors, anything I place on the painted surface leaves a smudge or print This product was purchased in a grey color, but it turned out to be a very pale blue, not grey at all, and does not match the container colour in any way. Unfortunately, I think this was just a bad batch of paint I received, and I now have to deal with all these problems. I am very frustrated by.
There is no drying time for this paint. There was still a lot of moisture in the air even after 12 hours of 80+ degree weather and low humidity. As a result, I put a fan on to move the air around more, and I checked it every few hours. After 72 hours, As a result of all this time in the sun, dust and grease accumulate, preventing the paint from drying. Five days later, I could not resist stepping on it, so now it bearing the marks of foot prints in addition to the dust and crud. 2 weeks later, the paint job is still tacky under my feet, despite the fact that it looks horrible. I have sections where I paint over silicon caulk that are not at all dry or that seem to have some sort of chemical reaction stopping it from drying. have worked as a professional painter for years, but I have never seen anything like this before.
In case I knew anything about how durable this product was, I would probably give it a five star rating. The next time I edit this, I may go back to it. This is what I used for painting the deck of my boat (done now). Applying this system was much easier than the other product I used last time. I tinted mine before applying it, since I don't have the tan I had before. It's very simple to use and works as well as it should. Those who do not This deck board has a better grip than what has worn down over time, so I'm looking forward to learning how to ride it. It's just like painting with any other paint if you use a foam roller. The result is really professional and looks really good after two coats. It takes only a quart to cover 250 square feet (the label says 250-328 square feet) A single coat will cover 300 square feet You are at It seems to make sense). Generally, it is a great product to use, it has a nice look to it, and if it holds its value over time, that will make it a five star item.
In order to finish the inside of my 14' aluminum skiff, I used this paint. I have also used a self-etching pad on aluminum because I wanted to prepare it before applying Putting on primer for etching. After consulting other customer reviews, I decided to have the gray color a little darker by adding a little bit of paint tint. Despite the fact that the paint appeared darker than described in other reviews, it still had that blueish tint. Other users have noted the importance of thoroughly mixing this paint, if not the micro-sized particles could result If beads are not consistent, the design will not be good. I painted the room with two coats of paint using a roller, which produced a very smooth and even finish. Despite the "grit" in the paint, it is very thin when it is rolled out. The best strategy would be to paint a small area and then go over the area again a few minutes later without adding more paint to My research shows this makes for a more consistent coat of paint and distributes the microbes more evenly There are a few more beads. In areas where I had applied caulk, the initial coat did not adhere well, but after I applied a second coat, it seemed to adhere well. It may take a few days for each coat to cure, but it was dry to the touch within an hour of application (in a paint tent, in about 65°F weather).
I was quite pleased with the way the finished product looked. I am confident that it will grip and hold up well, despite the fact that small cracks and imperfections were not completely hidden. I was not able to rate this paint higher because it is advertised as a true gray, when a true gray is not what it actually is This means it must be thoroughly mixed in order to be effective. You can mix it until you believe you have blended it enough. It needs to be mixed again. My experience with this product was excellent, and I would definitely buy it.
It was important that the floor and ramp of my new cargo trailer had a nonslip surface. The following product caught my eye after searching for skid resistant coatings. A small amount of plastic beads instead of sand was mixed into My opinion was that it sounded more preferable to sand. I found it to apply smoothly and easily. A substantial amount of durability can be expected. The computer doesn't seem bothered by sliding objects across the floor. They are so tiny that you can't really see them in the paint, but the effect they give is really effective. Walking inside the trailer with wet shoes does not cause any issues with slipping. It is much easier to sweep off a floor than a sand-impregnated coating. Having found the best product available, I am confident that it is the right choice.
The quality control is lacking. There was no non-functioning paint when it arrived An antislip additive and a yellow tint have been applied. One coat that I had applied from another can was ruined when this batch came along. My customer service told me that they would reimburse me if I bought the Pettit EZ Decks paint from a local store, due to the unacceptable replacement time. After I didn't get the correctly refunded amount, I contacted the person who said he was not liable to provide the refund. Afterwards, I spoke with a manager who listened to the recording of the phone call and confirmed the customer service guy was lying, allowing him to issue the refund. entire process was odd and a waste of time. On the plus side, I discovered Pettit EZ Decks, a much better product that is worth the extra expenditure of.
