I don't think so, a hot pot will leave a mark on anything it touches
It would be wise to. The type of wood and condition will determine how long the wood will last.
As long as you use a flood coat over it (epoxy only) to ensure everything is sealed, you should be able to mix it with glitter.

I use it for wood turning and tables and it is simply superior to any other formulation I have tried. As it dries, it dries very predictably and consistently hard, so I'm not concerned about breaking it. The machine and the shapes are flawless in my usage. A few times (or 5 or 6 - well, it was a while ago now) I strayed I was using Total Boat at the time) and discovered that this is truly the best epoxy resin available. Perhaps you find the price of Total Boat to be high, but I regard my time as money, and the consistency I achieve with Total Boat far outweighs any "savings" I might realize by buying cheaper items. This stuff doesn't smell, and it's very forgiving. Over the years I've managed to fill just the right amount of open time for all On a day like today, I do my pours at the end of the day and by the morning I'm ready I have poured maybe 100 gallons of Total Boat and I have never had a problem with it. Because I am a one-man shop, I do not have time to waste. It does exactly what it says it will do.
My experience with numerous epoxies is now limited to this one and it's by far the best that I've tried thus far. An uncle of mine asked me to make him a walnut mantel, and he asked me to make it His fate will be exactly as he expects. See the attached picture. A reflection can easily be seen in the top of the photo. So far it has been the only epoxy I've used, and I will stick with it until something better comes along.
My firehouse's table was made by my family. A 14-gallon batch of epoxy was needed to get the thickness of epoxy we wanted. In the end, we went with this product over the more expensive total boat product. All of our pours were 1/4-inch or less in depth. The mix is done under controlled conditions in a climate-controlled There was not a single pour that was similar to When the first pour came out cloudy, the heat could not clear it up. It did not cure when the second pour was poured. It was perfect on the third pour. It blended into peanut butter consistency in just 3 minutes, did not level by itself, and hardened in under 5 minutes even when we spread it out evenly. There was a problem with it. As a result of our inability to spread the epoxy out flat before it had cured, we have craters in our flood coat. On half of that pour, it also cured cloudy. The 1 to 1 mix is shown here. They're packaged in such a way that anyone can use them. Our efforts were not as hard as they should have been. There was no way to do it. In the end, we did not have more harden than was Regardless of the brand, we didn't have a consistent tabletop epoxy, so I'm told Total Boat is a good middle of the road alternative. It isn't always the things we got than are gushing in the positive reviews. There wasn't enough money in our budget to cover the extra $1400. The value of our money is what we get in return. A positive outlook In addition, it did not turn yellow when it cured. There may be some clouds, but they are It is a very hard material. Sanding with 220 and cleaning with acetone gave us no issue with the pours adhering to each other and without.
I have also seen several videos in which people rate it highly in comparison to other epoxy products. My experience with this company has been not so good. One of the containers has a busted bottom it was just taped up. It arrived earlier than anticipated, but one of the containers had a busted bottom. As long as epoxy is leaking out of the box, I will continue losing it. Even though I wanted to keep it, once I got a glimpse of how much had already been leaked, it wasn't worth the effort since I paid $100 for it. I hate giving such a low rating, but this is how I experienced.
My order was for a 2gal kit, but I received a 3gal kit The volume of 1 is the same as 1 and 1/3 gal. There isn't much of a problem with the mistake as there is with resolving the situation. I still have not heard from them. Getting this done needs to be done.
In my experience, it isn't as hard as I predicted since I can scratch it fairly easily, but I will wait for about a month before I attempt it again. After four gallons of water were poured into the river, a gallon at a time, and a sanding period was allowed between pourings. It takes patience to achieve a perfect finish, but it is well worth the wait!.
I have tried 5 epoxy products and this is the best so far. I like the fact that it hardens quickly so it lessens the chance of a bug or hair messing It has been working well as the final flood coat for my tables, and I have so far produced 4 tables with it. I believe it is hardening more quickly for me due to the fact that the work area is 85 degrees There is an angle of 90 degrees. You have a good product here, will buy it again in the future.
This is what I used on the cypress kitchen counters in my wife's bathroom, as well as the island made of black gum wood and black walnut counters. Thank you so much for your hard work! We are extremely satisfied with the I have added a tip. If you are very patient and stir slowly while mixing the epoxy with the hardener, then pour the mixture on the project and use about a 12" rubber squeegee to transfer it over your counter or table, there shouldn't be a large amount of air bubbles. It was only in a few places that I used a propane torch. You can see from the pictures that I used several gallons of Boat Armor Epoxy on this project.
