Questions & Answers

Fork trucks, heavy carts -- are they durable enough for industrial use?

My familiarity with this brand / manufacturer reflects my familiarity with this product. While it is tough enough, a proper floor preparation is necessary for ANY epoxy applied in an industrial setting. Use diamond tools to grind the concrete down to its bare surface. Cleaning it in a way that will allow you to eat from it. It has been shown that improper prep is the number ONE cause of epoxy failure. Approximately 10 millimeters of adhesive should be applied to the surface, and it should You need to apply the second coat within 24 hours after the first coat has been cured. And traffic cannot begin for 24 hours after the second coat has been cured. If you want a slip-resistant finish, aluminum oxide or quartz can be broadcast on top while it is wet. Whether it is for business or pleasure, you'll love it

The square footage covered by this is about how many square feet?

You just need to add more to whatever is written in the box. However, I ended up needing four packages rather than the three I thought I needed. It's always better to buy extra than to return it if you are unsure.

Do you know if this will work outside? Is it possible to paint my slab of concrete if I have a ?

Visit the manufacturer's site by typing www. to see if you can find out the answer. This is Mimar. Please visit www.com.

Is it possible to use it on ?

If you would like to contact the manufacturer, they were very responsive to my queries. have had my garage floor done for 3 years and it has held up remarkably well. Although the coating adheres to concrete pores, it does not adhere to solid As part of the concrete preparation, I did a diamond grind. According to my observation, linoleum would not be a good substrate for it to adhere to. The linoleum could be scuffed if you preped it in any way, but I would then go to the manufacturer for their recommendations. Getting more information about the item can also be done by searching Google.

It's unbelievable how beautiful it is

You must follow directions to the letter. The best advice is to read what others have to say. The price is high, but it's For my concrete resurfacing project, when it was new and unstained, I did less cleaning on old, worn, and stained surfaces. However, I did cleaner the new construction surface to make it look as good as new. Follow directions to the letter, especially the wait times, as others have stated. It would be better to do a second epoxy coat after 5 days. I waited about 30 hours to be sure the epoxy wasn't It is recommended that you wait a few days for the epoxy to cure enough to apply the glaze coat. Put a second glaze coat (550) after 12 hours but before 24 hours, when the epoxy is fully cured. Keep the surface free of any liquid for 96 hours after adding the glaze for it to fully cure. My first attempt at an outdoor patio was done in two sections since there was no room for all the patio furniture to be placed together in one go. I got some of the new epoxy on the first section without realizing that I accidentally sprayed it on after the first glaze coat was complete (waiting a week following the final glaze coat). My first thought was that I would have to grind it out, but that was not the case. I just picked it up off the glaze and the glaze looked fine.

I'm working on my second project, a screened-in A picture of the after-effects of two epoxy coats and flakes is shown here. Using two epoxy coats is my favorite method because the first coat soaks in and the second coat stands up, creating a great landing area for the flakes. The flakes settle into the second coat more readily than thrown flakes on the first. I don't believe that it looks professional to you, does it? There isn't even a glaze on it yet! For the glaze coat to begin, I must wait one week.

I found the product to be very useful I found the product to be very useful There are only minimal directions, but they are adequate and simple I would have preferred having two people, one to cut in and drop the flakes and the other to roll

However, due to the nature of my work, I can only do it It was a drink, was it not? In the future, I will likely use the Supercoat glaze after the epoxy coating, as I did with the previous project. You can buy empty gallon and quart cans from any hardware store. Pour half of each of the cans of Supercoat into the empty cans. can be done by mixing half the epoxy at a time. This prevents the epoxy from hardening too quickly and preventing you from working with it. Before parting parts A and B, make sure they have been thoroughly mixed. An epoxy coating can only be applied after a thorough preparation. This is an area where you shouldn't cut corners. Play sand and two part epoxy that comes in a caulking tube were used to fill any cracks, and you can't tell they had ever been Using a grinder, cup wheel, and dust shroud (with a good vacuum) can be invaluable in need of mechanical removal of items from the floor before repairing it. The process of cleaning and lubricating. Plan accordingly, as there is about 200 square feet of coverage per gallon. Due to my thick rolling and the epoxy hardening faster than I worked, I was experiencing this problem. Whenever you start something, you can't stop it before it's finished.

The book does not cover this topic
3/5

The can is supposed to cover 225 to 250 square feet your 1 car garage is only 209 square feet and the replacement can only covered 3/4 it, luckily Amazon sent me another one when I complained about the damage (a puncture was found) and they added on the full replacement can. I found the price to be too high since it doesn't cover the entire sq ft and I have to pay double just to cover the glazing. Where the hell did that come from? Is there any reason to send it with it considering the cost is so high? will not buy from this vendor again! Yeah, the pic is great, and it is, but I do not want to do business with someone who won't keep their promises.

I really like the product and the Having to work around vehicles and the refrigerator, we finished the floor last weekend and had to spread it over two weekends
5/5

Despite my high expectations, I am very pleased with the outcome. We used Supercoats Urethane Glaze to finish off the look and protect the surface. Prep as everyone says is vital to the finished product. There is a hard glossy finish to it The surface I was coating was 15+ year old epoxy paint that had shown its age and was worn out. I was concerned about the finish. The box store version is lower quality, so it is worth a bit more than the high quality The product left over from two kits meant we used two garages with a landing.

I was jipped
3/5

I thought it put down a nice coating but it did not cover close to the square footage they was advertising, which was 200 sq ft to 225 sq ft. It only covered 187 sq ft probably because the can was only 3/4 full. My garage is a 20 x 20 which is 400 sq ft. I was only able to finish 187 sq ft of one side because the hardener can is only 3/4's full and after mixing is still a 1/5th You are better off saving money and shopping.
