The answer isn't very much! You shouldn't put out an ashtray made from epoxy because it will cause it to yellow and become soft/sticky at the base.
Prior to applying additional layers, I waited about 3 days for a seal coat to dry. A quarter of a cup was poured in the last pour The thickness is 3/8 inch, and I let it set for a week before doing anything. I'm not sure if the epoxy would eventually cure all the way through, but it hardened within a day or so.
If you have a cork table, it will work. Corks must be secured as much as possible to the bottom surface if they are not As the epoxy and corks fill in underneath, air bubbles will rise up to the surface as well. If you use a heat gun, you may need to tend to it as it continues to bubble up. You should check on it every 15 minutes at 70 F within the first hour of pouring to ensure there are no Thank you, I hope that helped!
You have my gratitude for asking An average gel time of 30 minutes is achieved As a rule of thumb, I'd say about 20-23 It may take up to 25 minutes for the potion to dissolve, depending on how much you mixed. The process would be a bit faster if you mixed up a lot of epoxy together If the working temperature went over 80F, the process would be quicker as well. It is my hope that this We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!

The user interface is easy It came in handy when I painted my countertops recently. They were totally transformed as a result. Because of the high gloss finish, it appears as if they were made of real stone. I had never used APOXY before, and it was very easy to use. It turned out to be very straightforward. There are a few small low divets that are only noticeable when the light hits it just right, nothing too noticeable. Unfortunately, the root cause is more of a user error since not enough APOXY is used. The self-leveling does occur, but you should definitely use the plastic spatula that they gave you to move the product once it has been poured. Buy a heat gun instead. Without it, I don't think I could have done does make a big difference in getting out that bubble for that smooth finish that looks like glass.
Having worked in the wood furniture industry as well as a custom maker of live edge slab wood furniture, I have some experience applying epoxy. Over the past year, I have used Envirotex Lite as my primary shampoo and have experimented with several other brands. There are some people whose idiosyncrasies are more obvious than others. It is not exactly fun to pop bubbles with a torch while standing over a piece of furniture for two or more hours, no matter how kindly MAS Table Top Pro Epoxy Resin & Finish is both easy to clean and durable Thanks to Hardener, I finally got to finish a round table I have been working on all summer. The epoxy process I had begun two weeks ago on the table's black walnut replacement left me a nervous wreck as I used another brand on red oak for 20+ coats, trying to correct bubbles which appeared late, epoxy lift from slightly high moisture levels, and Amber's discoloration. This note states The task of working with black walnut is significantly easier for me than red oak, so much so that I will never work with it On the other hand, I applied it simultaneously to black walnut (desk and table) and pecan (bar stools), and it worked perfectly! A seal coat of Minwax clear gloss poly was first applied, then I applied two coats of epoxy onto each surface. Although I spent a whole 2 hours standing over each with a torch, the results were perfect, probably the closest I will ever get to perfection! The commissioned bar set is finished and I'm so glad! I am grateful for your kindness!.
I ordered this epoxy earlier this month and it arrived within less than 2 days thanks to Prime. The resin and hardeners looked to be identical. In 5 gallon containers, there was a cloudy but milky appearance to the resin. Using pictures, I emailed MAS to let them know what I saw, and they responded in nothing short of a world-class manner. The company asked us pertinent questions, responded in a timely manner, and since the pictures spoke for themselves, we agreed all of the containers I got were not their company's standard, and offered to send me a replacement. Working with them has been a great experience, and I am also very happy with their epoxy. Although I used the off batch on an art project, it ended up curing hard and clear despite the cloudy color. The following are easy to use and would definitely recommend trying them out One resin kit that comes with a plastic spreader that can be reused and a foam brush that measures 2" in diameter.
The mess was huge and wasted a lot of time. The update is It didn't come I was supposed to receive a replacement kit. I am disappointed
Update We talked to someone at technical support and found out the error was due to crystallization, which usually occurs during the Afterwards, I was told to place part A of the container in a warm bath for a couple of hours until it became They are sending me another kit as well ) (
Thank you for having a great attitude about customer service, it is how it should be! MAS made it right and I gave them another chance because they could deliver it faster than the other brand even though I had previously had a problem with them. Here is a picture of the initial pour that I did with another brand because of the issue I had previously with MAS. The MAD turned out milky, and I had to dump all of it when I found it in the mold. It was a huge mess, and I got super agitated and frustrated because of the work I had to do in order to make it work again. As for measuring, I used an electronic scale to be sure I followed the directions to the letter. The delay is setting me back on schedule on one of my most important projects. It is very disappointing to have had this problem twice in as many kits I purchased! I appreciate them contacting me to try and resolve the problem.
Whenever you measure resin, you need to make sure you're doing it exactly right The stuff here is number 1. The good news for me was that I used a total of 9 gallons on my resin channel table, so I just dumped it all in a bucket and walked away. My drill was equipped with a helix mixer that I used to spin it clockwise and counterclockwise each for a few minutes It probably took me at least 10 minutes to mix it at that level of large quantities, and I made sure to throw around the mixer as it went. Remember, if you have never mixed so many gallons at a time, it will get very hot and even start to smoke if you are mixing 4+ gallons at once. That is how the two parts react and create the heat that cures the resin. Be sure to use a benzo torch to eliminate bubbles as they appear to ensure that there are no bubbles on the surface. So that it can cure completely clear, this will be a good idea. A blue pigment was added to the middle channel of the table and the effect was beautiful. In addition, this stuff hardened through in just 24 hours, which I was not expecting. This stuff is thicker than some other brands of resins, as it will not slosh The service was excellent and I will use it for future projects as well.
By the time I was done mixing, I only had a few minutes left to use it before it started streaming like spider webs and getting tacky. I completely messed up two woodworking projects where I had worked. Buying this product again will never be an option for me.
I definitely recommend it to those who want to coat or cast smaller objects. In addition to their ordinary epoxy, they also use deep pour epoxy.
