The degree of the damage and how well the laminate matches the color of the colomatch will determine the repair cost. In my experience, I was able to use it between the laminate and the tub without any issues and was able to rub in the caulk with a rag as a taper, making it blend in to where you can't even tell it was there. Because my surface is not smooth, it made it easier for it to blend with the background. You should probably try a sample somewhere other than the floor first, or even in an area where you won't You're off to a great start!

About this caulking, the only good thing is that it matches the colour. Color-wise, it was quite compatible with that of the grout. There are many problems with its usability. During the smoothing out of the joint, the tube was full of air bubbles, so I would uncover them. Additionally, it caused a huge amount of waste because when it was not in use, it would pour out. The caulking nearly poured out as soon as the tip was cut (before it even reached the gun). Most caulks do this to an extent, but this was under such high pressure, it started to run out right away. Then, as I was about to finish the joint, I would immediately release the pressure on the piston of the gun and it would pour out three balls. After the cap has been put on, caulk the tip with 4 inches of caulk. I believe that this may be an isolated issue with some of this batch (unsanded "light smoke"), but in any case I will steer clear of.
I've been told to order this by my husband, who is a finish carpenter. It was impossible to find dark gray caulk in any of Light gray is all that's left. Because it didn't spread smoothly, he said it was a hefty price to pay for the color alone. That's probably the price you have to pay for.
Grout such as this is not suitable for areas that are wet or with bead sizes more than 1/8", as it will crack easily. In my case, I chose to use it in an entire room and I have cracks forming in every corner. In addition to cracking in places where water makes contact with it, it cracks in dry locations as well. I am not sure how in the world they got so many five star reviews It must be a phony one written by the manufacturer.
I thought the colors matched fairly well, though a little darker than I would like. This caulk is very runny, and that is my biggest complaint about it. Despite its relative ease of use, it is somewhat of an inconvenience to apply due to the quantity that continues to drip out of the tube when you stop applying it. My caulking gun has a plunger that needs to be released whenever there is pressure on it. Moreover, I pulled the plunger back off the end of the tube after the pressure had been released. As long as the product continued to leak from the applicator, it did not seem to matter. The consistency is that of creamy jif peanut butter, even though I have not tried it on vertical surfaces. In my opinion, if a wider joint fill were used, it would be a pain to tool neatly.
It should not be used for a water-proof seal on tubs or showers. Overall, it was a good match for the grout in terms of function and style. Keep in touch - I watched it last for over a year, then it began to leak thang Water leaking from cracks in the floor of the tub and shower (used in two bathrooms). Tub and shower are dry around the edges, cracked, and separated from the floor. We had to clean it all out, scrub with denatured alcohol, and use white silicone instead to seal it to the tub. The only places it still works are the places where water never comes in contact with it, such as the edges of the tile line, as this is the only place that the tile goes This product helped me achieve a nice edge on the end of the tiles by stopping the grout right at the border. I taped the painted wall and then used it to stop the grout at the edge.
In the first place, the color is absolutely perfect taupe. The wall is opaque when it is matched with a taupe-coated wall, which is plentiful nowadays. I give that a 6 out of 10. One other benefit is the smooth application of the product and very well-colored little spots that might need to be touched up with a finger. I think the price was worth it.
Caulk shrank and cracked along the entire bead despite the good color match. The cracked caulk returned within a few weeks after I recaulked it. I would suggest that you avoid this product unless you want to recreate your caulking every few weeks.
I really like the ease of use and workability of this program. Very good product that is almost exactly the same as the original.
