The adhesive appears to stick to metal surfaces, but I'm not certain whether it will adhere to carpets! As for the carpet, I don't think it would be an issue. As I no longer have my container to check if it can be used on metals, I cannot check whether it works. TIM ROBINSON
As long as you're using it on concrete, it's fine. I have only used it for In my opinion, the aluminum would work well if it is lightly sanded with fine sandpaper before the glue is applied. As well as the aluminum, the product you attach to it would matter.

I used this product to glue outdoor carpet to bunk boards on my boat trailer so I'm sure it should work fine. I'm very pleased with the way it holds up.
