For ABS, the temperature should be 210 degrees Celsius, and for PLA, the temperature should be 190 degrees Celsius.
PLA has a low odor and is a plant-based material. Bioplastic that is based on plants.
This makes use of the standard 1. ABS and PLA in 75mm.
I, on the other hand, simply held it in place. It simply hangs from the pen's tip, and you must tighten it. However, it should harden enough to pull the pen away after about five/six seconds, and you should have a verticle line; however, my brother has a desk fan set up that he has turned towards his work and says it works well. All you have to do now is make sure the fan isn't too close to the plastic and bends it. However, if you just hold it in place for a few seconds, you should be able to get verticle lines.

Okay, I'm going to tell it like it is. This was a decent pen. In my hands, the housing felt cheap and flimsy, it clogged a lot, and it just wasn't very good. It's a $40 pen, but with the extra filament and mat, it'll set you back around $70. 00. Simply pay the extra ten dollars and purchase the 3doodler create, which costs eighty dollars. Also included with the 3doodler create are 75 strands of filament, which should be more than enough to get you started as a doodler.
This is a budget-friendly option that does everything you'd expect from a budget-friendly option. pen for printing at a reasonable price I'm overjoyed that I was able to get it as a gift for a member of my family who is less tech-savvy. But I'm glad I was there to assist him in getting everything set up! br>br>While the pen works with both PLA and ABS filaments, the pen must be adjusted for the filament you're using because they operate at different temperatures. This is accomplished by adjusting a tiny Potentiometer after opening a small flap. Understanding the potentiometer and setting it correctly could be easily mishandled by less technical users. (I'm guessing my brother has already lost the tiny screwdriver that comes with it. ) br>br>My solution was to discard the included ABS samples and advise my family to avoid touching the adjuster and only use the pen with PLA filament. br>br>If you're buying this as a gift, I'd recommend getting a sample pack of PLA filament instead of the ABS filament that comes with it.
I was looking forward to using it, but I was disappointed when the nozzle melted and the hot end began to move.
Since receiving this pen, I've created a number of statues and figurines. The pen is well-made, and the manufacturer appears to be standing behind it. If they keep doing what they're doing, I'll probably buy from them again.
Because the tip gets very hot, I'd recommend it for children aged 8 and up. When my children use it, I am always present. They make hearts to send to grandparents, glasses and necklaces for their Barbies and small dolls, write their names in cursive, and do a variety of other things for it. They quickly depleted the filament in this package, so I ordered a larger pack with a wider variety of colors.
Although they are designed for the same purpose and target the same users, the Mynt3D and the 3Doodler handle and operate differently. Additionally, the 3Doodler uses ten inch long stiff 3mm "strands," whereas the Mynt3D uses large spools of 2mm 3D printing filament. I have both on my workbench, and they each have tasks that they perform better than the other.
For art projects or quick repairs on ABS or PLA 3D prints, this is a great tool to have on hand. I've used it to make minor repairs to prints with minor blemishes and to reattach prints that have been separated into multiple pieces.
br>br>If it actually worked. Putting the extra pricing aside,br>br>It lit up, the lights flashed, it heated up (burned myself three times), but when it came time to put the filament in and actually use it, nothing happened, it wouldn't accept the filament, it just sat in the top and could easily be knocked out, wouldn't work. br>Putting the extra pricing aside,br>br> br>After paying triple to ship it back, I'm still waiting for a wallet refund, because it can't be put back onto my card/account so I can try it through AU Amazon,br>which means I'll only get 1/3 of the money back, if I get it back at all.
