Questions & Answers

Do you have trouble clearing the jam on this pen frequently? What do you do to fix ?

Thanks for your question, John. The simplest cause of a jam (in any 3D pen) is distorted An incorrect temperature setting can cause distortion in the filament or an irregularity in the filament, and when the heat is applied, the filament deforms so that it does not pass through the pen correctly. If the filament deforms, it can often be repaired by backing out the filament, cutting off the deformed section, It sometimes occurs, however, that the deformed section is pulled off and remains inside In our pens, one of the great things is that the service door may be removed, the nozzle could be easily removed, deformed sections of filament can be removed, and the pen is as If the filament stops feeding normally, stop your work and pull it out rather than forcing it through the pen. Using high-quality filament, using the correct temperature, and if the pen jams, using high-quality filament are the keys to avoiding jams. When these tips are followed, you shouldn't have any jamming issues in the future.

Is the odor of the filaments that bad? A daughter with an allergy to scents. ?

There are health risks associated with ABS fumes. The best filament to use is PLA, but no matter which filament you choose make sure that you This type of plastic has a lower odor and is made from corn, so it is preferable to enthusiasts of 3D printing.

The filament I want to use for a 3D printing wheel will rotate as it is fed, but will it rotate with it as I ?

As long as the pen is unplugged, it will take the filament. You can press the button until it takes the filament as long as you are holding it. The feed will end as soon as you let go of the button. No force is necessary to make the pen move.

If you heat the pen and the abs start to feed through, then the pen stops and starts cooling down in the middle of the draw, so you have to reheat and start over?

Update the correct answer was provided by Robert R as we hadn't seen the question before. The power supply in some of the power adapters that were packaged last year experience a blip in power when the speed setting was less than full speed, leading to the pen going into We will replace you if you have this problem if you have a 3D Pen Pro from the 2018 model year, and if you have one from the 2017 model year then please contact

The pen is fantastic! I like this pen very much
5/5

In general, 3D pens are unreliable because of the way they are designed. Therefore many reviews express concerns. The parts are either cheap or do not hold up well. Most of them can't be repaired when the parts become faulty, so they're nothing but trash once they do. In this case, the heating element is the faulty part. This is my third pen with this issue. Two of the other brands do not work and are unfixable. In case of need, the unit can be taken apart for servicing. Pens and printers that print 3D models are a hobby, and like most hobbies they are costly to repair when they break down. It isn't that much to spend 30 to 50 bucks every few months to keep producing art if you're a hobbyist. It appears a little cheap because it's so light, but at the same time, it's of good The plastic will be fed two ways in this pen, which is different from some other ones. In the first place, you can hold the feed icon to stop it when released, or you can double click the icon to have it continue to feed continuously, which is great when you need to cover a large area. Since each plastic can be heated at a different temperature for different purposes and each plastic requires a different heat setting, the heating range is adjustable by 1 degree increments, making it easy to get the right temperature and flow. This gnome house was made by using wood filament. Here is a picture of it. This pen is a good one overall. Customer service seems to be readily available for any issues you may have. I am satisfied with my purchase. I have only had it for a few days so I can't attest to its longevity or dependability. I have put about 15 hours on it without issue so far. Both of the other brands I purchased failed to hold up during my testing. I hope to be able to do a follow-up review at a later date with an equally favorable rating. I wish you a happy printing experience!.

The pen I used to repair 3D prints and sometimes to weld together 3D printed parts was perfect
5/5

On this 7/8ths scale coach, which is entirely hand-painted and based off a laser-cut template (except for the platform and connectors), it was very useful. Several others worked, but this one is the best because, it does not accumulate clogs, the stream of material is easy to control, and it feels comfortable in the hand.

A great beginner's pen for 3D printing
5/5

After purchasing a generic/cheaper pen that lasted one (1) use before clogging, my wife and I decided to try this pen. The pen was able to be returned to the seller with no issues. There was no good to come of it.

It was a nice experience to use this pen. We were happy with how it worked with the ABS filament, as well as some other ABS filament from an Amazon vendor that has good reviews. No clogs have been found in the pen, and the motor works smoothly. Since some ink is left in the chamber after each use, we have removed the extras so that the color will be as pure as possible once we begin working on a project. Starting with a white pen and moving to black is particularly obvious, as the extrusions are gray. It does get somewhat hot near the tip of the pen, but oddly does not include the silicone finger tips that are included with the other pen, so if you have younger kids, it may be worth it to consider purchasing those finger tips for a few extra dollars. There is an adjustable speed (it is a slider, unlike some pens that have buttons) which is really nice and gives you a little more flexibility than This pen is a very good pen, and we're very satisfied with it. This pen inspires creativity while avoiding getting in your way, which is all you can ask for from this kind of pen. Hope this helps you make an informed decision when you make your purchase.

I appreciate the support I received
5/5

This review has been changed to a five-star rating. It was very easy to work with the support team. The email correspondence was very responsive and the English was understood well. In the end, they sent a replacement unit after asking a few questions. However, the replacement unit is not working. My expectation is not that every product will be defect-free, but that a company will be readily available to resolve issues. It amazes me how this firm stands behind their product.

** Original ***sbr>It was a Christmas gift. This drug has been used a total of four times since it was given to them. I noticed that it started turning off whenever I pressed the advance button yesterday. In this case, the filament is not heated or advanced. Although it worked, I found it to be fun. At this point, Amazon is not accepting it back, and I cannot find an outlet where I can I will try to fix it and update my review if I succeed. It is strongly recommended to steer clear of this product, as $60 is just a bit excessive for a product that has such a short life.

Is there a customer service department? As much as I would like to update my review, I have had virtually no contact with their customer service There are already
3/5

I bought another pen during the Black Friday sales because I liked my first one so much. I'm not sure why I got a jammed first one. In the event that the video instructions did not correct the issue, I attempted to contact the company's customer service as well. I attempted to reach them via four different methods, but gave up after a couple weeks. Responses to my emails were never received. It was a very disappointing experience! What good is it if you cannot get the pen fixed? When you run into problems, what is the point of buying the pen? As for the second one I bought, I have used it quite extensively, and it has been extremely useful. A snowman that is about 18" tall is made with clear PLA and metallic for the hat and scarf, and the snowman is lit in the inside with fairy lights I'm happy with the way it turned out! Even though it required hours and hours of work, apart from the occasional temporary snag, the system worked just fine. The only thing they could improve is their customer service.

There is a warning from the manufacturer that it might In addition to the display, the feeder button, and the temperature settings, there is also the back-up screen The up button, motor, and motor are all operational, but the pen does not extrude the ABS plastic in the box
3/5

It did not matter how we tried to solve the problem, the pen would not extrude. I can attest that we tried all of them. As Christmas day approached and we needed more things to do than troubleshoot a faulty Christmas present, it was time to give up. A warning flier was included in the instruction manual of the manufacturer that reads, "STOP!". I want to make sure you understand blah, blah, blah before returning this item. The red flag should have been apparent.
