We cleaned the PLA plate with alcohol to remove all contaminants and checked the calibration for the first layer, which worked perfectly. Depending on how smooth the steel is, you may bump the Z upward farther than you would normally with that steel, but once you have that nice run of filament on the calibration, you should be I was able to remove the print easily after it stuck well. This board doesn't have the same coarse surface as other textured boards, but it did leave a glossier, slightly rougher finish with PLA.
